Alright, Im going to try and describe my current situation the best that I can and any help or tips are appreciated.
So about twice a week, me and a group of friends go into a lounge and do some leisurely racing. I never really had a problem with it until a few weeks ago when I started going into the lounge only to be kicked after about a minute with the message "You have been disconnected from the server." The first time I got this error, I tried a few times to get back into the lounge and kept getting the same message. I went to get something to eat, came back, and when I tried again it worked perfectly. Another time that I was getting disconnected, I went to a random public lobby and was able to stay in it just fine. So it seems like a very random occurrence.
Nothing that I know of has changed on my end. I use an Ethernet cable and have a decently fast internet connection. I rarely experience any connection issues on any other game I play so I have to assume that this is a problem with the GT5 servers. But is there anything that I could do to fix the problem? Do you think some of these problems might be cleared up with the next update in a few weeks?
btw, I did search my query on these and other forums and didnt find anything useful to my predicament.
