For the last four weeks, Discovery Channel has been broadcasting a four part series on the future of automobiles called "FutureCar":
  • The Extremes
  • The Body
  • The Fuel
  • The Brain
Last night, Discovery Channel broadcasted the fourth and final part of this award winning series.

However, for those that missed the series or any of the individual parts they will rebroadcast all four parts on Thursday night, but this time one directly after the other.

No word yet on if or when they will broadcast this series in 1080HD on their Discovery HD Theater channel. If anyone hears anything about when they might, please post it here. Thanks!

For those that did watch any or all of the series, what did you think?

I've been watching this since it started and It's been cool, there's some stuff that isn't new to me but others that I really liked. Luigi Colani is ****ing hilarious, so damn outrageous but what an imagination. :cough:Concord Truck:cough:

The Eliica 100hp at all 8 wheels is cool but it's ****ing bloody ugly... I can't believe that came from a Japanese guy.

I DVRed the whole thing. I was really surprised that someone had managed to make a car run on just air. Colani has some of the most radical ideas I've ever seen. Anyone know of a website that has more pictures of them? I can't seem to find any.

I watched the first one while having a text conversation with a friend who was watching it at his house. The conclusion was that it was not what it was made out to be. I also saw the body part, and that was better. I missed the last two parts, so I am glad they will be back on.

I tried watching it... it was just so... crappy. It felt like trying to read 50 year old Popular Science Magazines as they try to talk about the "automobile of the next millenium" - all of it just rediculous

I just noticed that Discovery has recently been rebroadcasting this series in 1080i on their Discovery HD Theater channel.

The show looks much better in HD, as it was clearly originally shot for HD. 👍
