Quick question: Is there any secret on how to be able to increase the displacement on about 99% of the cars in GT? It seems like the option to do so is only on a very limited number of cars...... or am i doing something wrong in terms of order of upgrades (which I saw from a previous thread had nothing to do with potential power)? Anyone know why?

I think all the way through the GT series only the Skylines have been able to have their displacements increased (there might be one or two small exceptions) - there's no 'secret' way around it, unfortunately.

Yeah the Mini Cooper i do believe as well..... though its nothing as drastic as you might want. I want an 8.0L beast in that thing.

Why so few cars with the option to have their displacements increased?

That's fairly true for many modern engines. They are designed to tighter tolerances than in the good ole days, so just bore & stroking the shortblock is not always an option.

Of course, anything is possible with money. It's just that swaps are more common these days - like my wife's Stratus-powered Neon (you knew I was gonna work a Neon reference in!). And hybrids are a can of worms that PD rightly wanted to keep closed.
