Hi!

I'm thinking of buying a Challenge X or the new DD in the future. No matter if living room (65" is al little high on a 60cm board, you always would look up a bit) or Homeoffice (at the moment a 27" LCD on a typical desk) the setup Situation is not optimal.

As i don't think i can lower the living room TV without compromising the couch-TV experience, i'm seriuously considering the Homeoffice.

Let's look at that picture:

The Playseat Challenge Models are all relatively low and i contemplate buying a big arm for a future Screen to get it at the desks front and as low or even lower that desk height. Like the following picture but even lower in the front.

Do you guys think that works and what screen size would you choose? Most Oled TVs are not smaller that 48" these days. A good 32" computer monitor with HDMI VRR would maybe be enough, i guess...

Thanks for your ideas - and no i don't have space for a fixed rig in either room at the moment.

At the moment it would be Playstation/Gran Turismo only. This can of yours change with LMU and ACE on console in the future. A PC is possible but not trending right now.

I was in a similar situation and ended up placing my seat up on a movable pedestal aka old coffee table.
Added some retractable caster wheels so it easily moved out of the way.

Nice, but out of the way is not enough. Since we have a kid every room is just cramped. And the original Playseat Challenge is something i found quite ok when i used it for a few weeks in 2022.

The new, more sturdy ones should be ok with a 5-8nm DD wheel.
