Disqualified before race start

So apparently you can do this before you've even started the race. Just takes a simple bit of steering while applying throttle and then letting the wheels go back straight. Explanation? "Wrong way" according to the game.



Sorry for the bad quality, don't have a recording device and wanted to make a quick video anyway

I'd had that too once. Was curious if it were a one-time bug or a "feature".

You can't false start. I drive manual and it's just like in every other GT game. The invisible wall will keep you back until the timer hits GO!
