distance timer

how do u reset the distance timer for the car that you can supposedly do.........it says it in the manual that u can do it

Did a long Endurance run (Speed 6@Apricot), the car was brand new 0.0km's on the clock and at the finish (4hrs later) i had 2 different readings from the top to the bottom

Can anybody explain that?

yes, I've also seen that bollocks. My theory is that odemeter mabye is like a gps, works with fixed points and that tripmeter shows the actual distance driven and since you (hopefully) have a good racing-line your average lap-length on a 5.0 kms course is mabye 4.9 kms thereby the difference that gets visible in an endurance..

I'm just glad that the NTSC version of GT3 doesn't have endurance races as long as the ones you have to do! I cannot believe that they have an endurance race at Complex String in the European version! That must be torture to run an endurance race that takes that long! The longest one in the NTSC version is the Rome 2-hour endurance, I believe.

Tokyo R246 is the longest race. At 100 laps, it takes nearly 3 Hours. Rome and TM end when you end the first lap after reaching the 2 hour time limit.
I expected Mistral to be longer, but I ran it in 2hrs, and 7 min.

one is the total distance travelled by the car and the other the distance travelled during a race. there shouldnt be any difference.

maybe the odo takes into acount the distance travelled up to the starting position on the grid and the trip meter is zeroed at the starting point?

You guys are a bunch of wussies. I have completed the Professional League PD Cup race event in one sitting a couple of times now.

It is a great idea to take breaks after each race though. Especially to rest your fingers. Do some stretching of your forearm and wrist. Give them a good rub down too.

The one meter measures total distance traveled in a car and...
The other meter means how far traveled in a race but it shows it in tenths.

So... The one shows 152 and the other shows 152.8

The 152.8 would be the trip odometer
And the 152 would be the regular odometer
