Well, Just posing something to get the opinions of the guitar players around here. Today, I went to a music shop and they had a bunch of Ibanez pedals set up, I grabbed an Ibanez electric and went to it. Now that was quality fun.

So then, I'm looking to get a multi-effect pedal for my Strat, to get some different sounds out of it. I'm willing to spend about $100-$200 on a multi-effect distortion. I'm looking at a DigiTech RP200A, it looks pretty cool and has a whole list full of effects. Anyone have a good experience with any of the DigiTech products? Excuse me if that's a n00bish question.

I just bought 3 X-Series pedals from DigiTech. I got a Heavy Metal Distortion, and Overdriver, with a Flanger on the way. I couldn't be happier with the two I have already, especially the Heavy Metal, although they do run down on batteries like there's no tomorrow. I know they aren't the multi-effects ones, but that's the extent of my experience with DigiTech pedals.
 
That's another thing I was thinking of, with the whole deal they have with "Buy 2, get 1 free". Would it be possible for you to record what the pedals sound like?
 
I heard that Digi techs are quite good.
I have a Zoom 707 affects pedal which is quite good and I only paid £100 (don't know in dollars). It's got all your affects and wa wa. Although looking back at it now I think I should of saved my money, saved up and got a really good like Marshall Amp with good overdrive on it. But there you go yo have to learn from you lessons.

I'll see what I can do, but I'll warn you right now I'm no Clapton. I've only been playing about 2 years now. But I couldn't turn down that deal. It's been 4 weeks already, so the third should be coming soon.
 
Well, I've only had an electric for 2 months now and I'm looking at them. :D

Fender Frontman 15G. Don't tell me to get a different amp, becuase as of now i'm broke and in total debt with my parents.
 
I know that you are thinking of a Multi effects pedal.
At this stage of the game, consider one that only has a couple of functions. Then you can evaluate whether or not you want that stuff in your signal chain.
I personally believe that unless you can "go big", like one of Roland's VG series multi-effects, you should get one box, dedicated to one effect.
For distortion the first pedal that comes to mind is the Ibanez Tube Screamer. There are three versions of this pedal. I recommend the original or the re-issue. It is green and has only three adjustment knobs on its face. It was one of SRV's favorites.
