Div 3 weekly time trial; good idea?

I can't figure out how to post a poll, so I'm just going to open this up to replies as a way of judging!

Would other Div 3 peoples be interested in having a weekly time trial, open to all div 3 WRSers, run on a particular track with a particular car setup? I'm thinking completely unmodified road cars (specified for each time trial) on either comfort or sports tyres, with tyre limits depending on the car. I was just thinking that it might be a nice way to set up a weekly leaderboard where everyone participating is using an identical car.

Sorry but isn't this the whole point of the WRS that you have already signed up to ??

Just give it a couple of weeks and everything will start officially.
 
Sounds good to me,especially the tyre choice.
Except the set-up thing.
My suggestion:new cars from the dealers and only an oil change.
Fully standard,nothing more,nothing less.
If so,count me in.

???...What do you think WRS stands for?you want to create a WRS inside a WRS?...or am i missing something here....

It's true, my suggestion may be redundant! I just thought it might be fun to set up a weekly time trial event for peeps in Div 3.

Just a little practise before WRS kicks off I guess,nothing wrong with that?
And because we are in Div3 I figure we can't practise enough :)

Not to knock your suggestion... but given you will have a points accumulation system...what happens when a Div 3-er works so hard to rack up points against other Div 3-ers in your proposed "Div 3 WRS", then gets bumped to better/worse divisions? And also when new Div 3-ers come in? It'll be a huge mess for you and will basically have to open your competition up to everyone...

I’m sorry but of late there has been a few new threads posted inside what is WRS (weekly race series) run by the OLR team.

As far back as I can remember it has always been kept clean and tidy in this part of the forum so that every member can find what they are looking for to do with WRS.

We normally post all none official WRS threads in the online racing forum or other parts of GTP.

There great ideas that you have to post, but come on guys let’s keep it tidy in here, after all this is WRS and not a private meeting place .

Don’t know about other WRS members, but I for one would like to see these none related threads moved to a more suitable place.

I’m not saying your ideas are bad, or any other members ideas, it’s just when you have a idea for a thread, please think where it would be best suited, take the time to look at some if not all the heading and think my new thread would go well in there, plus it may revive what has become a redundant part of the forum of late. 👍
