After playing with the online feature in GT5 I'm thinking we should get volunteers to have thier PS3 left on certain hours for each Division class ranked in our weekly race series and maybe a certain time zone if it gets full of more than 16 racers. Maybe one in the US (East, West and Central time zone) Europe (same example) and Asia.

This way we only get to be on track with people that is pretty close to our driving level.

We can label the private room GTPlanet D1, D2, D3 & etc. or if that gets to full we can do D1 Gold, D1 Silver, D1 Bronze. Same with D2, D3 & etc.

What do you guys think?

Any volunteers welcome!

Nice idea although I'm not going to / can't commit to leaving my PS3 on for X hours a day.

Can't we set up non-fixed person servers so if the host leaves, it gets passed to someone else. If the room dies then someone looking for GTPlanet Division 2 can just set one up which again isn't fixed to the person.

Sure that would be good to but we have to stick to certain rules and guidelines I guess. We don't want just anyone changing settings and tracks. Maybe a schedule on what tracks, day/night, weather to prepare for a weekend race so all week we get to run the same track to run setups, practice on lap times. Share tunes with teamates.

It would be nice they release a dedicated server software you can run on linux :)
I guess some genius will spy the traffic produced by the PS3 and then build a server software,
that's possible as long GT5 don't use secret passphrases to identify.
