If you respray any of the downloadable touring cars, do they retain the decals they arrived with?

I don't know, but you can easily try it without any risk. Paint it - and if you don't like it - just quit the game BEFORE leaving "the painter". The game doesn't save untill you leave "the painter". I often do this when I am trying paints on my cars to find the best colour :-) .

The decals will stay
Even if you're respraying black onto black decals, the decals auto change to white, usually. I used some of the polarized paints on some of the TC's and the results are pretty cool

Okay guys, it doesn't remove them...
Better yet, the black ones on my Prius turned WHITE when I painted it a dark colour...

Yes - true. And to quit the game while you are at "the painter" doesn't harm the game or your savefile in any way. I have done it many, many times without problems.

im sure im not the only one that would love it if PD added an 'preview' option to look at what the car would look like with the new paint chips....and the DLC paint chips look rather impressive to say the least and i can honestly say that i wasnt expecting that many paint chips!

I think some are different. When i coloured my cammaro RM black the decals went gold so maybe it depends on which colour you paint it and what car it is
