Anyone else notice in cars pack 2 that the Mini and VW's hoods are not visible from the interior? This is a really strange oversight and kind of makes the hole drivers perspective feel lacking, makes it feel like your not really driving the car but just a dashboard around a track, like the standard cars.

Hmmm, not sure. Maybe its because of the hood being slanted? Probably the reason why you cant see it, it is like that in a a lot of cars.

yes they are if you break and if you put the carbon hoods on .. besides in real life yo would not be able to see the hood .. just like in my moms jeep... if its not flat or bast a 5 degree angle there hard to see unless you peer down to look at it.

You usually can't see the hood from inside on most cars. My 97 Camaro seemed to have a pretty long hood and you could just barely see it from inside the car.

Even with pivoting the head cam you would be able to see the far corner of the hood or even the hood sloping down from the A-pillar on most cars. I know its visible on the GT-R as you can see the hood behind the wipers and see the vents but on the Mini and VW's it just drops away, cant see it from any angle. Probably just left the geometry out as it they were probably barely visible

Perhaps you could try sitting on a few phone books for some extra clearance!...💡

I own a '10 GTI and I can testify that the hood drops sharply enough that you can't see it from my normal seating position in the car. I'll be happy to take a picture with the camera at eye level if anybody is interested.

you cant see the hood on most cars in real life actually.. just barley my mach one you can only see a few inches before it drops , i hate driving it with traffic as i cant judge the distance that well with its massive nose..

I am mostly taking into account how close GT places the camera to the dash and the fact that ya can't see ANY part of the hood, not even if you look to the side, normally you can see the corner or even the hood near the a-pillar/fender area. Its almost like driving a standard car with no part of the body visible at all, its very unnatural feeling and makes it hard to judge cornering from the cockpit.

That's surprising... if any car had a decent view of the hood from behind the wheel I'd have guessed that it'd be yours.

I'm telling ya man, the *only* way you can see any part of the hood in a Golf from the driver seat is if you lean forward and sit up. I'll try to remember to take a picture tomorrow sometime.

you can see for about 7-8 inches but then the thing is out of sight and you cant see the tip of the car . realy hard to describe unless you get into the car
il show you
the hood is curved so at one point it goes back down and you cant see it

_ ---------------- _ <- top that i can see

connect the dots and the top very most part that i can see is int the end of the hood its about halfway there , since i ilegaly drive the car with my dad im "16" i get nervous, especially since then nose of the darn things so huge i have to kinda get up bit to see a bit more .. since its a convertible i can just poke my head out the window so no biggie * the cars a show room custom because i know you gear heads are gonna tell me there's no such thing but there were 75 made *
our jeep and Nissan sentra's hood is not there when i sit down to drive unless i peer over =D so yea dont think its a glitch or pd didn't model the car unless the cars hood is kinda flat and not past a 5 degree angle you will see it..

I guess, due to my height, I can probably see more of the hood of cars than a lot of drivers. It just feels weird not being able to see ANY part of the car past the windscreen
