How would you want the DLC added?

  • Add the cars to the dealership to be purchased with in game credits.

If and when paid DLC does come out, how would you want it integrated into the game? Personally I would like it just to be added to the dealership. I would hate for it to unbalance A-spec even more than it is by being handed high powered cars for a couple bucks.
 
Well I'm not gonna pay let's say 10 bucks to grind more.
 
I am not paying real money for something that would end up in the dealership. I'm paying for something that will have instant effect.
 
Don't need to worry about, no plans for DLC, at the moment you can just play with cars you already own, as people keep saying here...... -.-
 
Of course they shoul be added to the dealership but with free first purchase.
 
If I'm paying with real money, I want it in my garage as a free gift with the option to buy it from the dealer for full price too. If it's free DLC, it should just go straight to the dealer.
 
I suppose being handed cars wouldn't be so bad late in the game...I just hate the idea of starting a new game and having my starter car be a Ferrari or something. Just loses the sense of accomplishment to me.
 
They should be added to Arcade mode for free, but then you should have to pay for them in Simulation mode (err... GT Life).
 
Both is the correct option. It should be in the dealership, for future purchase of an additional car, but one should be added to your garage upon purchase also.

there should be used premium :p and then also some should be available to be bought new.

The used cars that you already bought should be upgraded to premium so you dont have to buy them again.
 
The 1st option is best!
But should be reasonably priced in game(meaning not 20,000,000).
Only the X2010 should be 20mil

This is similar to the DLC such as the chromelines and stealth cars that were given during the games purchase. These cars had an unfair advantage starting out as well but I wouldn't give them up. I would prefer that if you paid for them that they actually ended up in your garage. If it was free DLC then I would not have a problem with it being added to the dealerships.

I'm cool with this. Did it in another game, and it was just fine.
 
Voted without thinking through all the way.
I would have voted for sending them instantly to my garage, I just forgot that I would have to grind more if it went to the dealership.

Actually, it would be nice to have both. You get one of each DLC car for free and then you can buy more.

This is how it worked on Forza Motorsport 3 and it worked just fine. They would release a new DLC pack with ten cars, you pay ten bucks (or however much it was) for it, download it, and then buy the cars from the dealership with credits just like you would with any other car in the game. People didn't cry about it all that much.

Remember that we aren't talking about a car. Most likely paid DLC would come in the form of car packs similar to what FM3 did, so we're talking about several cars at once. This means you're talking about dumping a whole bunch of cars straight into your garage.

If we want to run with the philosophy that paying real money for these things should mean that they go straight to our garages rather than having to first buy them from the in-game dealership with game credits, this would then logically suggest that all of the cars in the entire game should just go straight to our garages on the day that we pay for the game.

The only difference between the cars that came with what you paid for at the store and the cars that you paid for as DLC is where you got the files from and not whether or not you paid for them. You paid for the first 1000+ and then paid again (hypothetically speaking) for the cars from the DLC. If paying for them with real money means they should instantly go to our garages, all of the game's original cars should also have went straight there since we paid for those with real money, too.

Personally I didn't spend that much time with Forza but I also remember not having to grind that hard to get money, so that's what is really the matter, if the prices of the cars are not that high sure I'll buy them with credits but if they want to include 2-3 10+ million credit cars then I's get the cars way after I purchased said DLC.

If we're completely honest I'd like PD to add more events first than cars, I still have lots of cars I'd like to drive from the original 1000 just don't feel like repeating the events for barely any reward.
 
If it ever happens to be a free download, I'd say just have them in the dealership with no free one.
If you have to pay your real money for the DLC, I say get a free one and have it added to the dealership too so if you want to buy another.

This is such a good point that I've changed my opinion. I was originally leaning towards adding the cars directly to the garage.
 
Just like it was done in GT5:P Spec II and Spec III.
 
I want some smart marketing exec to spend dollars building their brand by paying for DLC creation. I never thought about buying a Subaru until GT1. So an emerging/resurging company could build brand recognition by paying to have new, concept or classic cars added to the game.

The same for places. A city, race series, race track could pay to have themselves included in the game. Tourism advertisement built into the game. I had never known much of the places featured in GT5, but my interest has been sparked. Italy comes out looking real good. Could Australia be next?

2011 car packs for the different manufacturers. Dealer only plus 1 make events for all multi-car dealers.
 
I rather have the car(s) placed in the dealership, that way I can purchase as many of those car(s) as I want.
 
Why do people want to purchase cars with in-game credits? I want to drive, not grind.
 
Having the buy the DLC cars in Forza made them near pointless. If I hadn't won a bunch of MS points for free, I probably wouldn't have got the car packs. In GT5 you need to own cars to take them online [and even off]. If they just went to the dealership, it would be as if they weren't even in the game. The only plus side is GT is easier to glitch.

While PD is hypothetically at it, I'd like an all cars in garage option too.
 
it should be in dealership so you can buy more than 1 of those cars
if it just gets in your garage its no good IMO
 
I would want it to work the same way as it does now, cars just appear in your garage. If I'm spending actual money for DLC I do not want to re-buy cars with in-game credits. Furthermore I want the cars to automatically appear in every account on my PS3 just like stealths and chrome lines.
