DLC + multiple users on one console

So, I bought the DLC pack the other day, and for some reason it only lets us use it for one user, and won't even let me send paint chips to my wife's account. Do they really expect me to pay twice just so that my wife and I can both access the paint chips, or is there some way to make it so that we both get the DLC (like with every other game)?

Really frustrating!
 
An update soon should solve this problem. 👍
 
No because it is linked to your PSN account...that way if your PS3 breaks (me) you can still get your DLC on your new one. Not sure if there is something to fix that coming...
 
No there is no fix, PD deliberately did this to stop people with 5+ accounts having multiple copies of it. I see this as fair as PD has to pay there staff somehow, how else would they get money besides Purchases of the actual game.

Correct !! Read the fine print my friend you must read.............Hell it's only 2$ it cant be all that bad
 
I can see where they're coming from as a business, but it's a bit frustrating considering every other game's DLC works for all users.

I guess that's the price we pay for being allowed to give cars, paints, etc. to each other.

Don't buy it again, there will be some family upgrade thing that will allow current GT5 DLC owners to use the DLC on more than one account for free.
 
Yeah, I thought that family unlock was due around the holidays. Not that it's going to freshen the game or anything. One of the only DLC's I ever bought. Never have found anything to do with it. Still waiting on some seasonals.

That's good news. I definitely wasn't going to give them more of money for it.
 
Yes there will be an update but.....

you should still expect PD to Protect them selves from DLC sharing users at different locations.
Sony have allready blocked more than 2 PS3s from being active with any NEW DLC at the same time.
So PD could do even more and restrict it to 1 single PS3 online at a time.
The Multi User pass could deactivate if you go ofline only allowing the original owner the content when ofline.

We will find out in less than 20 days...
