I've done a quick search, and have found no threads on this. Since I'm in the US, I can't unlock the DLC, and can't access the cars. I was curious what the specs on the touring cars were. Also, do they have the option for permanent upgrades, like engine or weight upgrades? Or is it just tires? Thanks in advance!

Heres an interesting one for you guys, the R32 TC is actually as close as possible to the R32 JGTC car from back when JGTC first began.

All cars come with engine +2 upgrade. You can install different tyres, the 3 turbos and engine upgrade +3.

All other "racing" stuff is installed allready, including weight reduction. The cars horsepower range is from 200 hp (Mx5) to 450+ hp (GTR).

You an also change the colours of the cars.

Hi rennsport,

Check out page 39 of the Flyin' Miata Super Cup thread for details about the Mazda Roadster Touring Car. We plan on using the new DLC Roadster for Season 3 of our series, having used the premium '89 Eunos Roadster for the previous two.

A strange thing with the Mazda Roadster TC is that the car lacks a stock LSD and you are unable to purchase an adjustable LSD. I don't know if this was PD's intention but if it is an error I am hopeful PD fixes the issue.

I believe I've heard that was true for all of the DLC cars. Something I think will be fixed soon (hopefully).

Ahem... Buick GNX would like a word with you.

Big engines like superchargers more, American cars tend to have big engines. That doesn't mean American manufacturers have an aversion to turbos.

Yes, but that car has a smallish V6:tup:

Don't be hating on the V6, those grand nationals/gnx's will surprise you. ;)
Besides, v8's are going out of fashion in favor of V6's with similar power and better fuel efficiency. Zenith was just pointing out that some US made cars DO come with turbos, even if almost no-one turbocharges a V8.

uh false lol just take a look on youtube...and v8's are becoming more popular for drifting and racing

No turbo because it's more common to supercharge a V8....

These days turbos are very common on all size and displacements engines. Saying big American v8's aren't usually turboed isn't true at all. In fact the ford 302 is a very common example of a turboed v8. The only reason people even supercharge engines is because it's cheaper and easier to install in most cases. All forced induction likes big engines. With a v8 there is much more gas to spool the turbos, therefore less lag. So pd really doesn't have a legitimate reason for not offering turbos on American cars, but that's a whole different arguement.

I love the GNX's and Grand Nationals and the few T/A's that got those Turbo V6's.

Not Hating at all. But the Comment "as I read it" was about Turbo V8s...And my point was the Buick is a V6:tup:

I seen V6 Turbo Buicks run fast quarter mile for many years...Ha they came out when I was in High School:tup:

Thanks,playnthru

Yea Ford's new EcoBoost V6 actually outperforms a lot of V8s in power and torque while having the same if not better fuel economy. Check it out here, it really is an impressive piece of technology:
