While on Google Earth, I just noticed that the Tokyo R246 course passes by the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo. Before discovering that as a fact, I did not know that as a fact, of course. Now let's see if any other real-world city courses passes by any other embassies.

Was this a question? New York's course in GT4 passed by at least one embassy.

I didnt realise that the city courses were that real....Ive been to London loads of times and I think Nelson is looking the wrong way as regards the road layout? Ive been to Madrid too and that seems pretty fictional..As for NY in the older games I think they condenced it a lot....There isnt a roundabout anywhere near Times Square??

Roundabout is Columbus Circle 59th St, Broadway, and 8th Avenue

London is A+ for realism, try Google Street View, walk the course.

This is a very oddly specific question. Are you perchance a terrorist, looking to use Gran Turismo as a simulator for a car bomb attack on an embassy? If so, the answer is no.

The city courses are relatively authentic... Which is why the layouts are so badly compromised for racing.

Which is also the reason why a race should NEVER take place in New York City.

The London course goes past the Canadian Embassy on Trafalgar Square

(doing my bit to help the terrorists) :sly:

I like this question.
It is something different than:
Which car is [insert anything here] ?

When we're done with this question can we please talk about which good sandwich shops are near GT tracks? Preferably with good coffee.

It´s just a Question not everybody is a Terrorist who asks such a Question !

Holy grave dig, Batman!

Of course, it would have been worse if he were asking about topless bars...

r246 also passes presidential palace

Which is also the reason why a race should NEVER take place in New York City.

because no corners part from 90° ones :sly:

I've walked the London course when I went to London last year. It's very authentic. One of the things I spotted in game is the Tourism Malaysia and Ugandan Tourism offices, in front of Trafalgar Square.

This was my first thought as well.

The real al-Queda simulator.

Next stop for them will be the Wishlist Thread, asking for a Premium cargo van, like a Ford Transit...

... and a "Detonate" button in Photomode. :D

And why not? The Lybians got the Samba Bus from Back to the Future.

:D:D:D

I completely forgot about that! (both the Bus and the movie)

While the Samba is useful volumewise, I believe today's terrorists would welcome a more modern solution, with a better power-to-weight ratio, so PD should get to it!

Terrorist jokes aside, it's a great opportunity for a time trial:

Ford Transit, Nurburgring Nordschleife, 10 minutes.

Sabine Schmitz anyone?

...I don't know that GT5 features car-bombs in their future updates?
