for the clio race, I was sick of the slow car ****,

It's a 5 race series, I won gold on the firstr 3, skipped the last two, and still got the championship.

If I do this am I missing anything in the game ? I know I'm missing a few races but I don't care about that.

To achieve a full 100% completion for the end of the game you have to race them eventually. Other than that you're doing as we all do (:

You'll have to go back and clean them up sooner or later if you want to get to 100% in the game. And you'll never get a 100% Win Ratio that way (personally I don't care about that).

I usually don't skip races, since you have to run them again anyway. If I have courses where I know I'm weak - SSR11, for instance, though I'm getting better - I'll sandbag some extra power parts to put on for that race and take off again at a better track. That way I win without going back, but without making the rest of the series into a blowout.

I do often exit the last race to do the Save-and-reload Trick, if there are multiple prize cars. Then I'll go back later and do the last race.

When racing a series for the first time, I do all the races to get them all won. Then, when I some time want a specific prize car from some race series, I skip as many races as possible so that I still win the championship..

thats true but in order to use the save/reload trick you have to skip a couple of races at the end of a series as long as you have enough points

All the time. I get so little time to play that it'd take me so long to finish a series. I do the minumum to win and go back after to do individual races in the car I won, which is what I'm usually playing for.

Do em for 100 only, other than that, it aint worth it. Too much time if ur comin from where i am. Listen to what Milefile said, too much time.

Yeah, I skip as long as I win the series, then I come back later to do them.

I will usually skip the Test Course in a series, especially if it's the second time thru.
Who really wants to do 20 laps at the Test Course?...in the Pitz?

Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to race a certain track, and I'll skip it. I also skip the last, or last few race if I don't have to race them.

Yeah, that Test Course Pitz race is a yawn fest for sure. Beats me why PD ever put that one in the first place.
My two-year-old loves that race for two reasons. It's his favorite car, and his favorite track. He does a very good job at it too, for a booger that is only two.

So you don't find doing 20 laps on the test course during a series (which wastes oil/hp) a waste of time?

Yeah! Im always skipping races, im just to impatient to wait for the car i want so i just get a big points lead and go back later and finish the races.

Major bumpage...although really, unless you really feel you have something that would change the whole outlook of this thread (I skipped a thread and my game got stuffed or something) please don't bring threads back from the dead...Well, at least you're searching (I think.)

I still skip the Test Course in series races.

I can see the point of skipping a race even when racing the series for the first time if you have no hope of winning (bloody cheating R390 LM and Test Course). If you can't win, you'll have to do the race again anyway, so you might just as well save time.

If I clinch the title, I certainly skip the races. Sometimes, if I know I have enough to still beat them, I'll skip Test Courses and sometimes SSR11.

And of course, there's the save-reload trick. I may try the last race of aseries as the first race so I know what I'm getting into.

The "clinched-championship" trick works for long-series races like PD Cup, for example. It's possible to win the first 7 races, and have enough "cushion" to skip the last 3 races. Why? So your car suffers no permanent loss of power!

there's my patended, get a rediculously faster car, and bump the comps so that they finish in the order you want them to, then a combination of qualifying bumps..that way it is possible to only have to complete in 5 races of 10 and

Pshh... its only 20-something days old!

I'll usually skip the Test Course to save time & my oil. I'll save-n-load the last race if I don't get the car I want. If the #1 contender is too close for comfort, I hold him back a few seconds so he finishes last.
