Sacrilege some of you will scream - I cant stand that GT now has NASCAR in it....we buy GT games because we are into making right hand turns as well and executing a perfect line through a chicane or some S's is so much more rewarding than driving 200mph in a straight line then banking a left.

Without the space that the ridiculous NASCAR information is taking up, there would be lots more room for better sound, more tracks, more unique! cars!

Why not get rid of the GT3, LMP, GT500, GT300 and Rally cars as well, after all it is a driving simulator not a racing simulator. Who needs race cars ;)

Seriously though removing Nascars would not give them any room for anything else it would just give us fewer cars to choose from and in case you had not noticed you can drive the Nascars on tracks with right hand turns you even have a couple in the Nascar event on GT 5 and 6

The OP has never raced with other humans at Motegi Super Speedway in a Nascar. If he had he would have realized that it is some of the best side by side racing that GT offers.

Keeping Nascar also targets a huge fan base. That is the main reason it is in the game and will most likely stay. I like it because I despise one lane "follow the leader" road courses and I enjoy intense side by side racing with occasional rubbing.

I do wish we had more oval tracks and/or was easily able to make them with the course maker. I also wish we had more turning options (stagger, tire pressure, etc.) and we could tune each corner of the car. All of which would make oval racing much better in GT6.

Outright removal of NASCAR from Gran Turismo may damage US-Japan relations. O.O

Given PD's tendency to make GT games bigger, not smaller, I'd say NASCAR is here to stay.

I kinda wish the course maker would let you set the geometry of your track, rather than randomly generating it. For example, for a banked turn, you'd have to input some commands like the following:

straight,L=1000m,grade=0,bank=0
rise into
corner,r=100m,ang=90,bank=30
drop into
straight,L=2000m,grade=0,bank=0
...etc

It's probably more complicated than I think. @.@

As ovals go Motegi is one of the best for sure. I'm not much into running Nascar but I have ran that track in just about everything you can think of.

Personally if I run Nascar I prefer to run them on road courses, Bathhurst is interesting in Nascar, would be nice if we had Watkins Glen and Road America.

Your logic confuses me, and probably everyone else..

I don't get it. What do you mean by "space" and "room"? Are you having a hard drive capacity issue? If so, that's easy and cheap to fix.

Hahaha....whew, hahaha...oh wait you serious ain't ya. Sorry 'bout that bud. Just cracked me up. :D

To each their own and beauty is in the eye of the beholder; Why don't you keep your fantasy of a NASCAR holocaust to your self. Perhaps one day you may see the beauty of tight packs of cars holding formation at high speed like a squadron of terrestrial Blue Angels.

Are you trolling or just ignorant and arrogant?

Nascar cars are great and awesome they are Legendary! Think about when did the first Nascar race took part. Nascar is part of the world most famous racing series F1, WEC, DTM, SUPERGT, NASCAR! So i can say that for me to get rid of Nascar cars in GT6 is the same to get rid of WEC and GT3 and SUPERGT cars in GT6. We need more Nascar tracks not more GTvision concepts or more miatas in game!

Wrong. That's why you buy GT. I buy and play GT so I can enjoy driving a variety of different cars on my own television screen at a variety of locations that I'll never be fortunate enough to visit.

I would rather they add more NASCAR circuits really. If there were ovals like Martinsville and Bristol with longer races, I am sure the OP will have a different opinion.

NASCAR may be boring, but IMO, it is one of the most difficult events, and that brings me adrenaline. The combination of emotion and challenge works very well in NASCAR. We have to block the opponents to win, and that's a very pleasing challenge. That's why NASCAR should stay.

''But NASCAR already has it's own game series!"

The series is dead. It can have more releases, but it's dead. Also, IMO, Gran Turismo brings us the true challenge of NASCAR.

Nascar in Gran Turismo is poorly implemented, and far from realistic, but I wouldn't say I'd want it removed. The problems with it are more to do with the brain dead AI being too easy to beat, and the severely limited tuning options, not to mention half the options we have are broken/not working realistically.

As far as content goes, I would like to see some more V8 Supercar content. In what world is it ok to have one V8 supercar? I can't imagine how PD's logic works at the best of times, but who's idea was it to keep the 2000 falcon V8 supercar, but not add a commodore? or to get rid of the fpv road cars, and not only keep the commodore, but actually update the graphics? lol! anywayyyyy /rant
