Do control upgrades mean anything in Bspec?

I was watching my bspec driver loose it in every hairpin the exact same way lap after lap. So I go buy him soft tires and a suspension upgrade... this is on the same car I HANDLED that event on.

Guess what? The EXACT same problems in the same corners... I am not talking just still bad, he fishtails exactly the same way, overcorrects exactly the same way, pendulums exactly the same way, eats the wall exactly the same way...

WTF is this? Are the only things that matter the car and power?

It sounds like you're simply pushing him too hard try keeping him nice and cool in the races and he won't make these kind of mistakes ,and things like tyres do seem to have a fairly big impact on my drivers.

I understand what you mean, I'm buying my B-Spec loser many parts and upgrades, which he fails to use... :indiff:

Nope, the reason I bought the upgrades is that pacing down didn't do anything for him.

This has been true in many races so far but the on I am thinking of right now is Tsukuba on Japanses classic. I load up my DOME (only decent car to race and one I took this even with with ease) and no matter what you do he looses it on the hairpins...

Pace up or overtake generally result in the same loss of control but sometimes worse.

Keep pace and pace down have no effect other than possibly even MORE overbraking going in...

The problem is he is all cautious going into the corner, overbraking and possibly even giving up a position if I tell him to pace down, but then as soon as he hits the apex he floors the car and gets all fishtailed, pendulums and is off the track.

So I figure ok, he doesn't need more power, he needs more control...

over 10,000 Cr later... the EXACT same thing in that corner...

My B-Spec behaves pretty much the way the car setup dictates it should.

the DOME concept is infamous for fishtailing anyways....my Bspec driver had the same problems for a bit, then I leveled him up and he handles the car much better now

I guess that'll be it then... I understand if a car is too much for a beginner driver to handle, but to make literally the exact same mistake repeatedly after stability upgrades seems so wrong.

Tyres make a big difference to bspec Bob , i always make sure that my drivers are using the best tyres allowed in any particular event .
