Do I need all Gold for the GT Championship?

At work, so I can't fire the game up, but I seem to recall it says that I either need to win all races or get all Gold to run the Championship (Pro). Well, I've got all gold except for... Nurburgring in the Classic series. Silver is all I've got there. So am I gonna need to race this (1,000x knowing how I drive) just to get the gold or does winning the overall championship mean I'm OK to run the final Championship? I'm on the supercar races right now, but with a suped up Ford GT, it's been a cakewalk so far...

If I DO have to win the Nurburgring on the Classic Series, is there a general concensus on the best car? Handling seems to be my biggest problem there, not power...

If you mean the Classic car series in pro events, then yes, you need gold on every race. You need gold on every race in Beginner and professional events to enter the GTWC.

For the car, I used a Buick Special, and won easily. In that car, B-spec should win easily (but check there are no other buicks, or fast cars like the AC).

In the circuits that have championships you only have to win the championship to progress. If the circuit consists of individual races you must win them all to progress. As far as car choice. I used a modded '69 Z-28 with a little over 400 horses the first time. The last time I used the old Mercedes SL 300 with max horses, all drivetrain, and semi racing suspension on medium tires. No permanent HP mods or lightening. It is a tough run but quite fun. The Z is an oversteering monster, that takes a lot of fine tuning. The Mercedes is a little underpowered but drives like a well balanced machine even without litening.

OK. Thanks. Since I won the Championship, sounds like I'm OK to do the Worlds, but I'll keep the car suggestions in mind. If I can get by with it, I'm gonna leave that silver on Nurburgring and never look back :indiff:

If you want a "strut to the finish line" win, go with the SC. If you mod it, stock you should have no problem. If you win by anything less than a half lap with it modded, than throw the game out the window, and go buy "Barbies Dance Party", as that would be more of the kinda game for you. lol. JK. Good luck with the race. 👍

On the other hand, to complete the game 100% you do need all gold in individual races.

You need to have GOLDS all the way from the Sunday Cup to the Super Car Championship to be able to enter the GT World Championship

Dang. OK. Well, two more questions then...

1. Can I B-Spec that race?
2. Even if I can't, anyone know of a good B-Spec FAQ (with both "Beginner" and "Advanced" info)? I've been reading some of those write-ups and B-Spec sounds like a ton of fun...

1. Yes, you can b-spec that race. But if you have never used b-spec before, then your b-spec guy probably won't be that good, so give him an overpowed car, as he wont be able to compete in an underpowered/evenly matched car.

2. B-spec is simple. Before a race, select b-spec instead of a-spec. During the race, b-spec has 5 speeds (1=slow, 5=push hard, directional buttons to change) which you can adjust to tell him how aggresively to drive. You can also tell him to attempt to overtake (triangle), and tell him when to pit (circle). You can also speed the race up x3 (L1 + left/right directionals).

Hope that helps

My opinion on the B-spec mode is to fasten the process. Mainly i use B-spec in those endo races, you can fasten the whole race by 3 times. For example say you are in a 4hrs. endo, if you try to do it yourself, you will finish the race within exactly 4hrs. not a second less. But if you use B-spec mode, you can finish the race within 1hr and 15min. Remember you can also switch from A-spec to B-spec during pit stops.
