Do I need to pass the 'S' License to get the F1 car?

I managed to get all but 3 of the S-Class races and then decided that I wanted the F1 car, so I have spent the last week, playing on-line events to clock up the funds.

Today I hit the 2M mark but when I tried to buy the F12007 was told that I can't have it yet... I am assuming that I must complete the S-Class first!

This is a nightmare, as the reason I stopped is that I just couldn't do the F40 Overtaking race and the 2x700pp events.

Not sure what to do now.. Does anyone have any tips on how to do these events?

Yes, indeed you must complete S-class to be able to buy it. Plenty threads here with tunes that could help you get those pesky 700PP events and the F-40. :)
 
I was going to ask this exact same question. You are at exactly the same place I am. I couldn't wait to try out the f1 car last night, and when I went to buy it I wanted to cry. I even stopped playing for like a whole hour. I hate the single player missions. I completed all of c,b,a on professional physics and 2 of the s class on professional. Then I started racing online and got hooked. I won 2 million yesterday, When I couldn't buy the F1 car I got so mad I finished all but the 3 you mentioned last night on standard physics. I feel like i've cheated by doing this, but I just can't stand to fight through the agonizing task of doing anymore of the single player missions on pro. If you want to run right through those last few pro events you can join the loser club like me and go to standard physics. I'm getting ready to beat the 3 missions that you speak of like that. Please don't think to poorly of me.

No-one will, the things expected from you in those races are outrageously tough to pass let alone grab the gold. Possible but not worth the time if you've already started online.
 
I did the same thing: got the 2m then realised I needed to finish S class. I did the 3 remaining races using Standard - pretty easy actually - & got the F2007. Only thing is, the F2007 isn't that convincing IMO... :indiff:

I would like to know if anyone actually has golded S class in Pro physics?
 
I've golded them in pro. But initally I did them in standard.
Did them again in pro as training, plus my internet connection was ****ed at the time.
Was immensly difficult. Took me the better part of the day to get pro-golds on the three above-mentioned races.
 
I did the S class on pro physics. I actually didn't think about switching to standard...lol. Wish I would have because it costed me a controler. I smashed the S.O.B. because I got frustrated. At least I got to check out the inside of the SIXAXIS.
