Do Premium cars have enhanced physics?

Premium cars obviously have had more work put into them on the graphics front (compared to standards), but do they have enhanced realism in physics? (weight transfer, suspension geometry, traction/grip for differing sizes of tire, whatever else you can think of, etc etc)

I think if this was the case, it feel it would shed a whole new light on the gameplay dynamics from the hugely-increased incentive to drive premium over standard. (personally, anyway...)

This is a very off-the-cuff and random thought and I hope its not too obvious a question lol...

I don't think so.

I have no evidence to suggest the physics are any different.

Ok cool... I actually think it would be detrimental to the dynamics of gameplay if this were the case... then members here would REALLY start bitching about the "stupid crappy standard cars"... :odd:

Standard cars have less polygons making them more aerodynamic as there are less nooks and crannies to trap the air... ;)

Nice theory? What´s your next?

He's working on a "Headlights Automatically Dim in Daylight" thesis :D

@OP:The physics are the same - just the GFX are different. If you like driving in dial view (and some of us do on certain tracks) then you really cannot tell any difference at all between the car 'classes'!

Nah because there is no real air in GT5 it doesnt matter if there was 1 or 100000000 polygons for the car. It's all just a lot of 1 and 0.

However since the steering column is made of angry blocks, turning at all becomes somewhat paradoxical...

I have a standard F2007 and a premium F2007.
They are just the same apart from the graphical details.

Same with all of my other cars like the Enzo and the Citroen GT Concept.

How is it possible to obtain a standard Ferrari? All of their cars should be premiums !?

Would you seriously be surprised if that was the case, after all they are is ports.....

Are you trying to build a racecar in Minecraft? 💡

But they ported over the cars, not the physics engine. There is only one physics engine. The data for the older cars could be wrong (as could be the same for the new ones), but they'd still perform correctly for their numbers, they just might not be correct numbers.

Not that I've noticed. Wouldn't be surprised though...
