ok, i'm a bit confused about something.

i was racing my friend the other day, and we were both driving Tommy Kaira ZZS's. i noticed that his horsepower was a bit lower than mine. he had the same upgrades as me and the oil change to boost horsepower. i just don't understand why it did have less. does it affect it in which order that you buy the engine parts for it?

Probably because of milage. As engines break in they will gain hp with regular oil changes. Later in the game as your milage gets higher, you will begin to lose a small amout of that gained hp.
 
This is correct except that mileage can also increase your horsepower for dealer cars. This is during the "break-in" period. Prize cars come already broken in. It takes 300km for dealer cars to reach full break-in power which is 3% above power at purchase. After another 500km (or the first 500km for prize cars), horsepower begins to drop for the next 100km for a loss of 2%.

ok, thanks guys. i knew that mileage affect that, but i guess i never thought of that while i was writing that post.
