i was wondering, if anyone or how many people actually get mad at the video games that you resort to breaking something? i know i have and i know my brother definately has, i would remember when he would play the N64 and play james bond 007 and at times it was just so frusturating for him that he got pissed and actualyl threw the 64 controller agianst the drawers and not only that he actually grabbed the controller and ended up breaking it more because he was mad. he eventually regreted breaking the controller so he bought a new one,

so id like to know does this happen to you? and if so what have you done?

Rumple bit off part of a PS2 controller once. Incase you can't tell, that medal is the gold metal. You know, for being the best.... I'm stupid, I'm going to get out of this thread before people hit me.

I just broke one of the analog sticks off my PS2 controller while playing NFS : U. It's odd. I know. :odd:
I've totalled about 3 controllers so far. :(
 
i dont get mad at video games.....whats the point?

what pesses off is when i go to my local book shop and look under the "horror" section and find it full of Buffy, Angel and Charmed...what utter shyte...theyre on the bloody telly, who wants to read this tripe?...its not even horror, its teeny stories about witches and gay vampires....oh jeezuz..
 
Never at GT3.

But in a past life, I used to be in a Team Fortress clan that played in several ladders. Some of those top tier clan matches used to get really tense.

My headphone/mic died on me during a match once and I threw it on the ground in frustration --forgetting that I'd be playing the rest of the match w/o sound as well as not being about to talk to my teammates. :banghead:

That was the only thing I recall breaking in two years of league play. I once spilled wine during a match because I got excited... that was inconvinent.

I get mad, but I've never allowed any video game make me break or damage anything. I pound or slam something like a pillow or cushion, throw something like a foam ball at a wall, since it can't break anything.

I've really restrained my anger well in the past couple of years. But a good primal scream every now and then takes good care of frustrating matters.
 
Back in the old niontendo days I used to get extremely upset when I had to do the same part of a level over and over again. . . Super Mario 3 was the biggest pisser to tell the truth. . . I went through stage by stage and no warping. . . I had everything going into the Last stages and a lightning storm reset my console. I was pissnard!
 
A couple times I got so mad at GTA3/VC after killing a bunch of people of completing a series of tough missions and then getting killed or busted, I took the controller and threw it at my TV. :p I'm able to control that temptation now, but back then I couldn't. :p
 
well back in the day (yesterday) ive been known to throw controllers (broke 3) but now i mostly just yell out **** really really loud(and throw the controller)

Edit: and speaking of N64 Excitebike64 REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY PISSED ME OFF. that game was so retarded with the AI. they could look at you funny and you would fall off your bike and totally waste about 10 minutes of racing.
 
I snapped my Ananlog stick from my PS2 controller because of NFS:U since I didnt want to break my wheel. I also managed to crack my PS2 casing because I kicked it when it wouldnt read TXR3.. Corrected that problem easily. :trouble:

O yea i break stuff all the time, I beat my controlers and if the Ps2 wont read a disk I punch the top kinda hard a few times, like its gunna help:rolleyes:
 
Meh, I destroyed a controller once a long time ago. After that my parents said "We're not replacing them anymore" and so I decided to channel my anger in somewhere else; or to not get angry in the first place...
 
the only controllers i break is just cause the xbutton stops reading or something like that. games are sorta away for me to calm down, if it doesn't calm me down its either a good laugh or a really tense part.

NFSU is really easy.. the problem is you just need to relax and that is hard to do sometimes. And when you get passed on the 6th lap, dont restart just keep going see if you can pass him back
 
Yup I just bashed the Ps2 good because I was playing TXR3 for a good 45 mins and went to do the wanderer trick and I got the stupid disk read error
 
Things I've screwed up, or just plain broke.

-2 Controllers
-1 Memory Card (don't ask)

I think I'll consider anger management classes when the list gets to 10 items.

I know you said not to ask, but HOW on earth did you break a memory card? I am curious.
 
Actually I don't remember what I was going for but I do remember the memory card just happened to get in the line of fire. It's kind of sad, it was one of those "8-in-1" cards... meh, not like they were reliable to begin with.
