Do you just hate it when...?

Alright this has happened TWICE already and it hasn't been 3 weeks since i got my car!

The first time:

I ordered a Pioneer head unit from Crutchfield for about $315 only to find out that a car audio shop in my area carried a Sony head unit that was far more attractive and a helluva lot cooler. So i returned the head unit i ordered a bought the new one for the awesome price of $260. While i was there (Pacific Stereo), i indulged myself in new speakers and two 12" subs (JL Audio's top of the line models) and an amp.

The second time:

Well after about a week and half with my new stereo, I find that there is a better deal across the town (Sounds Good Stereo in Woodland Hills). Instead of two 12" subs (which i returned on thursday...2 days in my car without a radio or speakers), I bought 3 12" subs, made by JL Audio, which can be mounted free air (without a box). They don't necessarily hit as hard as the ones i had before, but I have 3 12" subs, a 1500W Alpine amp, all new MB Quart speakers w/ separate tweeters, and a motorized Sony head unit. How much? $1400. Sound like a lot? Nah, for what i got that is a very very very (that's 3 very's) good deal. Unfortunately the gas money and the hours of wasted time add up to more than the cost of my system.

Moral of the story: make sure you can get the best possible deal before you buy something. In other words...be a smart consumer!

*Thump* DAMN! These subs are NICE! *Thump*

If you wait a week, there will be always better deals... However, buy it through a chain like futureshop and they will beat anyones sale price up to 2 weeks down the road.
