I realized something today while playing S-6: it incorporates just about all of the worst parts of driving. You get stuck behind an a**hole going so slow that it feels like he's doing it just to piss you off. You get the a**hole who slams his brakes on, right in front of you. You get the massive roadblock made up a huge pack of slow cars. Why play a game when you can just do the same thing and hit the 101 around 9 in the morning? And until you can choose who you race with online, avoiding the large contingency of real drivers who are actually worse than the AI, this is really all we've got.

Hopefully they reconsider the fun-factor of AI that's tantamount to carnie tricks. For those who say "Ive heard this before," you have; repetition is a form of emphasis, and the potential, made clear by the exactitude of everything but the AI, leaves me to imagine what it would be like if they actually fulfilled it.

Wow I was expecting another online complaint, this is a old school GT4 style AI complaint thread. If the AI make you want your money back then trade it in, least you will get something.

agree with viper...and beceause its the event your talking about, they wanted to make it as difficult as possible(more or less...)and thats why ,if you want to win s6,you just have to be better than the AI ....

so as the AI is still far from perfect, its allready heaps better than gt4....and when you finally win s6 without ramming and stuff,it feel kinda rewarding...for me at least...:)

spyrrari.

Sometimes I wonder about all the whingers. They look like idiots for buying a game they didn't like and feel it's appropriate to bag the game on a fan forum. I don't expect everyone to like it, but if the whingers haven't got any constructive criticism, why open their pie-holes?

Ah I remember the 101 well. Great road. Lot of traffic but hell was it fun overtaking people.

The AI, although not perfect, is better than previous GT's. If your behind a car that is to slow, then use the draft of that car and pass it. The AI drives in a set path and if you get accustomed to that path, then you can antisipate the best way to pass the cars and work your way up to the front. getting annoyed is the worst thing to do, as it causes you to make mistakes. Be patient and you'll get there.:)

It annoys the hell outta me when they ram into you and you get the penalty for it
It took me ages to do that F40 challenge on Suzuka :grumpy:

So if a fan of the Gran Turismo series buys the latest game expecting it to be good, but is disappointed, they're an idiot? And if they want someplace to share their frustrations with fellow Gran Turismo fans, they should look somewhere other than a Gran Turismo fan forum? Makes perfect sense.

I'm sorry you don't approve of Francisco67's opinion, but a forum is where many different people come together to share different ideas, opinions, and information. If you can't handle disagreeing with someone, then you really have no business being here. Personally, I think lambasting an unfinished demo for poor AI (and demanding a refund as in the unedited post) is a bit extreme, but that doesn't make Francisco67's viewpoint any less valid than yours or mine.

It does sometimes make a nice change to play in single player because even though the AI isn't perfect, they're far more capable than some of the cretins you get online. :)

Blaming the AI for your personal incompetence in taking expected driving-actions and appropriate movements in order to fulfill the demanding task is just plain ridiculous.

However, blaming the idiots in online for their monkey-driving is always in place.

And I apologise to all monkeys, it was just a methaphore which is usual in homo-sapiens communication.
