Title says it. Do you speak in your own language online?

Mostly when the room isn't filled with a lot of people from different countries I don't, but when it's smaller I sometimes do speak Dutch to other people with the red white blue flag.

Sometimes when I see a Belgian or South African flag I do ask if they can speak Dutch/African though.

Hey Noisa,

yes, I speak Dutch too online, but only when we race in our own championships. (maybe you're interested?)

If there are foreigners (for me) then I speak english. But i don't attend the open rooms so much.

Thats a good question mate. I host karting lobbies (GT5 WORLD KART CUP) and get alot of internationals (being Australian) and most speak english but when you get the odd one or two who don't it can be abit tricky. Usually I have google translate next to me and type in their language and speak (over the mic) in english. I will add you tomorrow :)

Same here mate. I host the open lobby as practice for our championship event. So same as you I don't do the open lobbies much.

Okay, what do you race?

I also play in Japanese lobbies, mostly there are no Americans/Europeans, mostly pretty lonely altrough some can speak basic English

I don't have a mic so I only text chat in English. I don't really speak my own native language IRL so English all the way for me! :D

When you text type in a language, will it display in the language of their choice? For example, if Noisia's language setup on GT5/PS3 is Dutch, when I type in English on my end, will it show up as Dutch on his?

No , still English ;)

I only speak in English. I throw in a "Le" every now and then just to annoy people sometimes .

No but that would be a wicked cool feature.

My native language is English, but if Quebecois or a French joins who can't speak English I'll communicate in French.

i basically only speak english. i know a little spanish and a little arabic and thats really all. a couple russian words, but nothing to complete a sentence. almost everyone ive came across speaks english or french. most who speak a diff language generally know english also and gladly speak that since i dont know theirs.

This is an interesting question man. 👍

Although I'm yet to own a headset to verbally communicate with others in a lounge or race, I only speak Japanese while I'm playing in a lobby only for Japanese players or privately having a match with a few of my friends, but I use English when I'm to take part in a foreign championship/lobby or somebody mistakenly made an entrance to our party.(A Spanish chap came into our lounge while playing with my another Japanese friend, for not having fixed the number of players allowed in a room to "2"(Himself and me))

Yeah, most of Japanese people are poor at speaking(and being spoken to by) to someone in a different language on their own accord, for their passive character and striking distinctions between English and their own tongue.

I would speak in Hebrew but...
A) Nobody would understand it (saying yes would end up making people think I'm having chips).
B) I couldn't type it in its actual language and I'd have to transliterate. This situation would lead to A and most likely many banned words.
C) Other users would be wondering if I had gone insane.

I am studying German in school, So gt5 actually helps my education by speaking auf deutsch with natives without paying for phone service..weird gt5 and education...

/\ I'm learning German and French in school, but it's still very basic. Enough for one little sentence though.
