Do you think all of GT5's bugs will be patched?

Its good to know Polyphony is working on fixing as many bugs as they can. But it still has alot of bugs left, and one of these days they need to start working on GT6. So what do you think their priority will be in a few months? Fix all of GT5's bugs? Or patch only most of them and then start working on GT6?

I see in a few months from now, updates will gradually be turning up slower and slower. Then they will eventually stop. Some issues will be addressed, others will be created. They'll start working on GT6, and GT5 will be forgotten about.

Nope.

Nothing against PD, but I can't think of any modern game that has had all of it's bugs patched. I'm talking only about legitimate bugs, not wants and wishlists.

OK maybe not every single bug, but all of the big glaring ones. Like the aliasing and slow AI.

I think, unless it is too hard to fix or something trivial (minor graphics glitch), they will pretty much eliminate all the bugs.

No impossible there is always someone finding something that "needs" being fixed...

I think some people mistake things that are bugs compared to technical issues. Things like the slow AI, shadowing and alpha effects are technical issues not bugs. They happen due to problems with machine resources and technical limitations

Bugs in a game are things that cause things to go wrong and are not ment to happen, Stuff like being able to drive through a wall. Selecting menus in an order that causes the game to freeze. The current bug that meaning that you cant download replays, the museum card issue.................Those are bugs

Will they fix all issues like that, well they'll certainly try

Will they fix shadows, alpha effects, AI(not that i think its that bad anyways) Heres hoping...........but since they dont actually break the game they dont get priority

They won't fix the shadows, the reason the shadows are like that is down to the performance of the PS3, they can only go so far with it before the FPS start to drop too much.

AI - That isnt a bug, it's simply the way the AI are balanced, they could make the AI harder. Thing is though to the GTP average member, who is a good player and a good racer the AI might be too easy, but to the average non simracer joe the AI may be just right, or too hard.

Im amazed at how many complained on the TDU2 forums about that game being too hard, where as i found it a bit too easy. You cant balance it for everyone.

As for actual bugs, then i doubt all of them will be fixed, but GT5 is already a fairly well polished game, so i think they're already doing a great job with supporting this game, the latest patch is testiment to that.

I dont believe all bugs will be squashed because I think some bugs just wont be able to be fixed but from the patches so far I believe PD is trying to sort what it can

Now dont get me wrong the game is far from perfect and needs lots of things sorting but I think by maybe May/June time we'll be looking at a GT5 that we couldnt have imagined on release date....yes some will say that it should be that now but from what I gather GT5 was rushed forwards to meet SONYs not PDs demands so it can only improve to a level Kaz and PD will be happy with, and im pretty thankful I have the game now to enjoyably play online with my friends while its been improved

Just my $2 though

I would be surprised if they altered any of the graphics in a patch, but I would expect the shadows to be at least a bit better in GT6, once PD understand people's priorities.

Gamers these days have forgotten what "hard" even means. So many games you don't struggle to achieve, you just go through the motions. The last game I remember truly challenging me was Sonic 3.

This!

Although yes the AI could maybe do with more tweaking I think we get so engrossed in the forums and playing the game that we sometimes forget that for the average consumer who just picks up the game without the concept you or I have of GT5 it may appear the AI is tougher

It seems to have introduced new bugs as I have just lost both my F40's since updating anyone else experienced this?
