Do you think there should be a replay-sharing option in GT5?

I'm surprised PD didn't think about this when they were making GT5. I'm not talking about sharing it to YouTube; what I mean is that we should be able to click on a replay, and select a Share With Friends option. What do you think? It's quite helpful for those without a video camera, and want friends to see their race.

Yeah, I wish we could have favorites and make them availalble for friends to view. Originally, there was supposed to be youtube uploading so both features were probably scrapped late in development. Hopefully they are still working on those.

YES! :dopey:👍

They can't realize a direct upload of our replay to youtube (Forza can), so they should at least putting the option in to share our replays ingame.

PS: @OP, you should add a vote. ;)

You can grab the replay file from the xmb and share it any number of ways.

I think it would be nice to be abel to share in game, just like we can with pictures. 👍

Yup. 'Nuff said.

One of the biggest, most glaring oversights. There is so much potential for in-game sharing/social stuff.

I thought you could already upload your replay saves to the XMB and then transfer it elsewhere?

Yes, OF COURSE!!!
It would be fun to beat your friends' replays in ghost mode. Sharing your circuit leaderboards would be nice too...

The render time of 1080p replay video files was to long. so it was scraped
As was the downscaling of the native 1080p output to 480p for you tube as posted above replays can be shared IF your not lazy.
GT5 Round 1 Replay
GT5 Round 2 Replay
GT5 Round 3 Replay
GT5 Round 4 Replay

and as the GT Video section shows theres still nothing stopping people sharing replays you DONT even have to use youtube. So you can allow PS3 downloads from the PS3 browser via Direct link URL link friom this web site with out navigating else were.

No youtube adverts, No 10 mins limit. No Crappy flash Plugin crashing ( 4 times in 3 days )
Just realy cheap $30 recording..

Sure you can share your replays, but it's much too complicated.

You need a PC, you need to upload it to a file hoster. The other one needs a PC to download it. Import & export till the replay is finally shared. :yuck:

And if you want to upload it to youtube, you need a video capture software/hardware. Which cost money & a lot of time. :grumpy:

They can for sure implement a replay sharing system like with the online leaderboard (top 10), but they won't because sharing = higher server usage. :sly:
