Just wondering if anyone who works uses GTPLANET during the day. I work in an estate agents and I have GTPLANET open all day. have to close it when the boss comes over to my desk though.

GTPLANET stops me from getting bored in the winter months

Yep. I spend more time on GTP at work than I do at home. (:

what internet connection have u got at work?

I have 6mbit SWBell DSL and 4mbit Comcast cable. And I'm the system administrator so I have pretty much unadulterated access of both (:

Don't you have to work?

Ditto. I only rarely access from home.

Same, it fills out the lulls in work quite nicely.

What is this "work" you speak of?

It's so cool, you get to do stuff for people and they give you money and stuff. So cool.

I only get the money, which can then be used to purchase stuff.

Yeah, but one day you're going to want to buy a house.

Instead of Kettle Chips.

So you need to work better -- maybe they'll give you more pounds.

That'd be so cool.

You could have a party at your new house.

So cool.

Yes, I do.

Sometimes too much, but hey, when they run me for 60 hours a week, pay me for 40 and I spend 10 on GTP, I think the extra ten of unpaid overtime balances it out.

That's just my theory, and not likely the owners. Of course the other trick is that I run the IT system at the branch that I work in. Ultimate Power, when it comes to having a bad day. I get in early, do my surfing, disconnect the LAN, and about 9:30 when the boss is flipping out, I go to the server and spend 1/2 hour plinking around, reconnect the LAN, and look like the savior of the morning.

I suppose some day that'll catch up to me, but I'll enjoy it for now.

I'm basically a glorified tech support guy. "System Administrator" they call me. I've got everything here running so well (60 users, 8 servers, 2 internet connections, and a presentation center) that I rarely get a phone call. Though I have three people waiting on me right now ... hmmm ... back to work!

As an estate agent I have to go out alot showing people around houses, but during the winter months it goes really quiet so i get to sit down and drink coffey.

*Oh forgot to mention i stare at the secretary ass* (which my girlfriend hates but the secretary loves)

I have no work, except that of school.

Yup.

We have a relaxed internet policy at work. They basically say that it's OK to do personal surfing as long as it's not affecting your work. Since I'm currently managing 49 projects simultaneously, and my client is generally happy with my work, they're not bothered about a bit of GTP time.

Yeah, but I mainly just browse and periodically post on GTP at work because the fact I have to use my brain constantly troubleshooting peoples computer issues and dealing with people like the one right now that couldn't click his way out of the desktop all day.

When my lectures get very boring (all too often), i'll go onto MSN. If i get something from gtp, i'll check it out.

Well I have no job as of right now. I'll problably get one back in the summer though. but my equivilent of work right now would be the eleventh grade of high school. I do access GTP from school a little, when I have free time. But I mostly log on at home, having no life and everything.

Flunk you all, I must work at the only workplace that filters GTPlanet as of the past 3 months. I had a word with the head of the IT department yesterday, and told him there's no actual game-playing, it's no worse than the other dozen or so who look at ESPN.com all day long.

Anyhow, it's raining here, so I'm at home viewing GTP for hour or so I get to do that at home.

Those Lexus bastards. I've got a survey from Lexus headquarters sitting on my desk right now. I'll put in a word for you Pupik. :D

I acess GTP mostly from work as well. We have 2 shoulder seasons here in Vail so there is ample time to play around.
But ski season is starting to get busier and busier. About Xmas time, it will be balls to the wall work and I will not be on GTP much from work.

Just change the dealer code to 60905...heh heh.

Meh, the IT guy said he'd review it. After all, automotive sites aren't blocked...just games, porn, and downloads. That covers everything for some people at my job.

On the other hand, I was able to browse at work for about 3 hours a day at my previous job, so this is the price of better pay.
