Ok, so lets get some ground rules. For those in the UK, please try to keep the spoilers about episodes we in the US have not yet seen. Please and thank you. If you must, put them inside spoiler tags, so that others who have seen the episodes the US (and any other region that is behind) hasn't can still converse.

Now I personally didn't think that the Asylum of the Daleks was a great season opener. It was a good episode, but for a season opener it was just lacking that big wow factor for me. It's just my opinion, but this was the weakest of all the recent Doctor season openers. I understand that it was setting up plot lines, but previous Doctor openers did better.

So I'll leave you all to discuss the first episode in the new season, and I look forward to some Whovian debates and theories on future episodes.

And just for a bit of fun, IMDb has the first 5 episode names up. Here they are:
1:Asylum of the Daleks
2: Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
3:A Town Called Mercy
4:The Power of Three (reminds me of the Dark Tower)
5: The Angels take Manhattan

It was worth it, just for all the daleks saying "Doctor Who?", repeatedly.

Also, you have a typo, on number 5.

This is floating about as well, a mini prequel to Asylum.

I loved that episode, which is saying a lot because historically I hate the Dalek episodes. I also tend to like “arc” stories more than standalone, so I was a bit worried when Moffat said this season would be almost entirely standalone episodes, but so far my fears are unfounded. And Jenna… mmmmmm…

I don't like that Moffat made the Daleks collectable, but you saw every type of Dalek in the asylum, from the origonals to present
 
I rather enjoyed 'dinosaurs on a space ship' last night 👍
 
It was a rather fun episode. Can't wait for the next episode. Doctor in the old west sounds like fun

Has anyone else heard about all the theories floating about? The two I have heard are interesting to say the least. One, the statue of Liberty is a weeping angel. The only reason she hasnt attacked is because there is always some one looking at her. The second one is off IMO. According to the theroy Mr.Pond (can't remember how to spell his name) is the master. I'm not sure on that one, but there it is.
 
I really enjoyed last nights episode!

Also ive got a bit of a crush on Karen Gillian and im sad shes leaving..but the doctors next companion is stunning!!:drool:

Can we have them both please!!!:sly:
 
Season 7 of Doctor Who is going really fantastic. The latest episodes i watched i can say this season remembered by every watcher and also fans of Doctor Who. The Saloon scene was so hilarious of "A Town Called Mercy" 3rd episode of season 7.
 
It was good to see Crichton from farscape in the latest episode
 
I loved Asylum of the Daleks, I thought it was a great season opener, can't wait to find out how they write Jenna Louise Colemen in as the new companion, I hope she is the same character as in this episode.

I found Dinosaurs in a Spacehip a bit average. A Town Called Mercy was much better. Really looking forward to epidosde 5. Will be sad to see Amy and Rory leave but looking forward to seeing how it happens.
 
Loved last nights episode! best of the series so far IMO..last episode of the series next week..where we say goodbye to the ponds! :(
 
I really liked last nights episode too. It could have been timed a little better as you didn't really get the sense that it took over a year to happen and the ending was then very quick.
 
Well, there goes Amy and Rory, zapped back to the past by the Angels to live out the rest of there lives. I must say it was a very good episode that got a bit confusing will young Rory and old Rory in the same room. That's it now until Christmas where the doctor meets his new companion which is the girl trapped in a Dalek's body in the 1st or 2nd episode
 
Excellant episode! genuinely moving and terrifiying! the whole series has been great, cant wait for the christmas one!👍

The Dr doesn't get that attached to his companions, such strong emotion was very odd to see, especially since Rose. Although I do realise that this is a different generation of Doctor to those who were with Rose.
 
Y'know, i think the weeping angels are the scaryest monsters on Dr Who right now! after watching the eps in which they are in, i havnt looked at statues/gargoyles the same way since!:scared::scared:

Meh, I was not a fan. I dislike laughing silent assassins.

I've been quite frustrated with the lack of tie-ins from the previous season. Were oh were is Mrs.Jones or Captain Jack? And Moffat says Smith is the same person as Tennant and Eccleston, but I really don't get that feeling. It's seems as if it's a whole new person, but the same old TARDIS, and that saddens me. I am not a big fan of this new direction either, with Who being as light hearted as it is. I miss the serious, but fun doctor episodes. Ah well, I sound like an old man complaining about the good all days.... DOWN WITH THE COLLECTABLE DALEKS!!!!!!
