Just picked this car up in the UCD. It has 41.8 miles on her. One would think that there's no reason to do and engine rebuild or a chasis redo but, it needs 'em both for around $800k. On 41 miles?????
Did the previous owner drive it at a rally event? I could see a chasis redo from that but, it still doesn't explain the engine needing rebuilding. Any thoughts?

Thanks

How do you know you need to do it? It doesn't mean you have to do it just because you can.

True but...
Usually when you go to the GT Auto area, when you select those options, it will state that the car is not in need of the maintenance. With such low mileage, I just figured it wouldn't need it.

You can do it as soon as soon as the chassis/engine condition drops to 99%. It doesnt mean it needs it though. I only do the rebuilds every 10000 kms.

it takes very few miles to be eligible for both engine and chassis tune ups. i cant remember if it was my ferrari or a lamborghini or the mini that i used in a series that only has one race completed it with the stock car in 3 attempts or less then i went into GT-Auto to check out the rims and aero package for it. out of curiousity i went into engine and chassis rebuild and it was eligible for it! with guaranteed less than 50miles. barely 15or so laps.

EDIT: it was the gallardo in black that i ran in rome. i just remembered now that i crashed into the barrier after the back straight. the first try at it i misjudged my braking point hit probably at about 70-80mph the wall hard. while i was in GT auto i went into chassis refresh and... my jaw dropped when i thought at the time the price of my little mishap.

BTW OP good find on that "snake eyes"... waiting to see one pop up in the UCD!

Just so you know, the chassis refresh option appears as soon as you drive your car. Even if you quit its first race before driving off the grid.
This isn't the case with the engine rebuild, but that becomes available long before the engine loses any power.
