I absolutely adore both of these cars but i personally prefer the viper for some odd reason, what do you others think. Oh and plus if someone would post a link to the new OCD that would help, my ps3 is in the shop. Each has 830 + horsepower on really doesn't weight that much, great cars

I fell in love with that certain Viper while playing GT3? it was a beast that rarely lost a race.

But with the Ford GT.. That was a brutal ride in GT4, hard to control and just as powerful.
Ended up just trying to stay on the track was more of a challenge then trying to compete in the race.
But I remember the GT40 being an amazing machine and a blast to drive. 👍

I've the Viper still sitting in the garage in GT5 haven't given it a go yet. But the Ford GT seems a bit more
tame this time around. Still quite fast, but much easier to control and actually win a race with. So I guess
I'm feeling it's kinda boring to drive this time out.
 
The GT Spec II is one of the better cars in the game. The oreca GTSr is excellent, but the Ford is near perfection.
 
I would personally avoid the Ford GT. In Prologue, the car would always spin out. I only ever used it on Daytona.
 
The standard ford gt spec II is amazing, but the test car...Oh my god that's good stuff.

I would say the viper is better because it has a more complete, wholesome feeling to it.

I love both, too. But prefer the Viper a lot more, when it comes to driving. Because the GT has an suspension physics problem, I think. It is totally stiif and doesn´t rellay react on bumps and curbs, but just moving a a whole.

So sometimes it feels strange to drive it. The Viper deosn´t have those problems and drives like a dream.....or better: like you would expect.
 
I have both standard cars. I haven't tuned the viper at all yet just a setup and it feels good. Its not even close to the ford though, which I have god knows how many miles on from grinding A-spec indy races. The ford still puts out about 810hp and is a great car. I am yet to drive the test car though.

The premium one from the GT dealership, "Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car" I think its called, fully tuned, is epic. Its the videogame equal to riding a golden unicorn over a rainbow while busting a nut on Megan Fox's face while on cocaine.
I would argue that its one of the most complete cars in the game. Its fast, handles excellent, looks great, has excellent interior view, sensational exhaust sound and can run with the LMP cars. Its like it was built for the Nürburgring.
 
Ok, so I bought the test car and fully tuned it. Its pretty good. I'm not sure its THAT good like you said, but its pretty good.
 
There are two Orecas. There's the 51 and the 91. The 91 is thge one we've had for the past 2 GT games, at 588 horse. The other, the 51, is 691hp. Both are beasts. The Ford GT Spec-II. I find the Ford GT very easy to ride with this time around. I must say though, the Viper is a dream drive. Maybe a bit twitchy. . . But I love the Viper. . . GTS-R. Its a beast.
 
Both Vipers have nearly the same stats, and I had both of them in GT3. Stock, the Ford is faster, but in an online PP limited race this doesn't matter. In that case, I like the Viper, though the Ford will probably win on fast tracks like Sarthe.
 
ford gt easily, its got the power, great handling and hearing that thing scream is just sex. all you really need is good throttle control, as it can get VERY tailhappy. i can run 5:58-6:03(5:58 being my best time so far) on the nurburgring with that beast. THIS THING EATS UP TIRES/GAS THOUGH :grumpy

The LM Spec II is the better car for mechanical design. The mid engine layout puts it ahead in handling. The aerodynamic body puts it ahead in top speed. And with the LM Spec II test car, it puts it ahead in 'in game design'. I own both cars, and for overall performance, the GT is #1.
