A couple blocks down, a Viper is going for $19,000!
My Dad is in the market for a new car.
I'm doing my best to convince him! lol
20,000 miles, and probably will cost a few thousand to get into proper condition.

Insurance would suck though. :(

What you say GTP?

Pretty good price for a Vintage sports car. Problem is, 19k does not always equal 19k, which it seems you already know with your concerns with insurance. If your dad can afford it, its an great pick up.

He wants a GLI, Im pretty sure there's a relatively large price/speed gap. lol

Still, I wouldn't mind being driven to school in a Dodge Viper.

I can dream. lol

Get a PPI done on it, stat. That's below the market for a RT/10. In fact, that's scary close to the price for a salvage title.

I was thinking salvage when reading the OP. Scrolled down and it looks like I'm not the only one. If your dad considers, get it checked header to tow.

As others have said, 19k for a Viper sounds like a terrible idea. It may cost 19k to buy, but it's not a 19k car.

If your dad is looking at a GLI, he doesn't want a Viper. Well, he may want one but that doesn't mean he can afford to keep one.

He could probably afford to buy the car but what most people find after that is they can't afford to maintain the car.

I'd love to see a photo of it mate :) I'd love to dream too ;) Not to mention see the condition that it's in.

Click me.

That should give you all you need to know about if this is worth it or not. And if this needs ANY work done keep in mind it is very expensive. Especially if it has a blown engine or needs any engine work at all. If the car had 90,000 miles and still running it would be worth $19,000.

Run away!
