Does a replay record driver settings?!

Someone HAS to help me... please! Lol, I've been trying to beat my brothers ghost for the longest time, and last night I finally triumphed. But when we came to boot the game up again the next time, skid control is turned on. I have no idea whether my glorious lap had skid control on and I somehow didn't notice, making it useless :-( I have the lap recorded, but viewing in replay theatre doesn't seem to indicate this setting. Does anyone know if there is a way of finding out?

Now that sounds a great idea, thanks so much for thinking of it! I'm not really familiar with what the skid control technically does. Any give away signs on what would appear on the telemetry? Much higher or lower, lateral loads?

It increases the grip when the tyres start to slide, so what you would see is increased lateral g and higher cornering speeds.

I did a test just now on SH tyres, and it's kind of tricky to spot the differences in lateral g, as there is no label in the data logger. It's easier to see the speed differences, as there are labels for those. With SRF on the speed was about 5 km/h higher in the corners in the test I made, although the difference in speed probably depends on the car, the track and tyres.

Another test you can do is to load your best replay as a ghost and see how easily you can match your pace with SRF off. If your ghost lap keeps pulling away in the corners, then you probably had SRF on. If you can keep up with it through the corners, then SRF was probably off.

Excellent, excellent plans! I'll definitely try both of these techniques. In case you are wondering what the track and car were it's Eiger Nordwand short track with the GT One, standard specs, hard tyres, TC 0, aids off, ABS 1. I'm away from the machine atm, but I'll tell you my brother's best time if you like?! :-D Thanks again for your help, Steve
