Hey guys,

Does the old elastic bands on the controller, and a USB keyboard with the enter key held down still work with the Redbull x1 on Indy.

I used it once or twice before, but couldn't get it set up this morning in the like the wind race. I think the drag from the walls must be worse in the new versions of the game.

(I wanted to grind out a few 1000 tickets while I'm at work)

Could do, but I just thought that would be something useful for my PS3 to be doing, while it was offline and I was at work.

If not, no biggy really. I'm not that desperate.

Don't really know what you mean with that trick. Never heard of or used it. But why not B-Spec it? I think if you did a B-Spec Indy race several times, you'd win a 1000 ticket. Maybe I'm wrong. But the alternative is trading for it.

Doesn't work anymore.......u lose too much speed and you're not guaranteed to win...u may finish way in the back....and its not worth it anymore..

Seriously you never heard of it?It's the A-spec grinding, with rubber band and keyboard that'll do the trick. But it's not working anymore with X1 unless with X2011 (never try it,just heard of).
For the OP why don't you try out the seasonal event?with login bonus and good payout should help abit.

Thanks to everyone for their input here.

Money and Exp aren't really an issue for me now, as I'm Lvl 40 A spec and have already got at least one of almost every car in the game (except the Nissan R89C). You are definitely right about seasonals, there is more than enough cash on offer there and it is an ok way to accrue some gear.

Was just trying to run up some 1000 tickets to use for trading without having to dupe, but as it seems a bit too hard, I will not be bothering.

Now I find that the seasonal B spec event at indy course 650 pp work best for me, 600k every 16 mins, before I grind B spec dream car championship. I know that A spec seasonal might earn more credit but while I let bob do the driving I could go watch a movie, do housework etc or get ready for work

However the SSR5 B-spec event is better as it pays out more. Basically you can do the indy in 16 mins and get 600k, but you could have done 2 races of the SSR5 and have 780k in the same amount of time. It's not loads more but it certainly makes a difference.

Hah I see, I could give my Zonda LM a rest now I guess
thanks for the information

Remote B-Spec racing, if you want your PS3 doing something whilst you're out and about or tucked up in bed. With the loging bonus, you can earn serious credits with very little effort. Does require you download and install a Yahoo widget and that you have a secondary account to race your primary account drivers from. I do it all the time and can make a few million Cr in very little time...

PS - Head over the the B-Spec forum to find details on the Yahoo Widget...

If you're just after the 1000-tickets, the rubberband-method still will work,
as you're going to collect miles counting towards the ticket regardless whether you'll come in first or last place.
