Does a USB Keyboard work in GT5?

My wireless keyboard won't hold a charge anymore. I've been thinking of getting a standard wired keyboard meant for a computer. I read that they work on the ps3 fine. I just need to know if it will work on GT5 typing in the text box.

I have a USB keyboard and it works fine.

As long as the Keyboard supports USB 2.0, then the PS3 should be able to recognize it and GT5 should also be able to utilize it as well. I've been using a wireless keyboard that came with a USB receiver, and it's been working great ever since I got it.

Yes, you can plug in most any USB computer keyboard and it will work just fine

I havent' found one that doesn't work, and they don't have to be USB 2.0 compatible.

I have a wireless Logitech EX100 keyboard and mouse with USB Receiver. It connects in a matter of seconds compared to to when I had to use the CD to install the drivers on my PC.

I'm using the one from my old (circa 1998) iMac, and it works just fine.

Or you could try a bluetooth keyboard, I've got one and it works great.
