Does anyone on here play on a flight sim? And if so which one? I am thinking about getting Microsoft Flight X. I currently play Microsoft Flight 2000 with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.

Sure do, here is a couple threads

MS Flight is a big dissapointment to almost all of the original flight simmers due to it's lack on simulation (just like it's name), content, features, modability and with high price (the small DLCs are expensive) but it is intially free and if you just like pottering around a looking at the views at Hawaii you will probably enjoy it. Hawaii only for the time being, Alaska is apparently being worked on for DLC.

If you want a similator that features the world you might want to get FSX (huge community support though free and payware) or X-Plane 10.

*EDIT* OP was edited to switching Flight with FSX

Couldn't have said it better myself. Let alone these ones:

OP, please search before posting a new thread. Vote for lock.

I was asking if anyone CURRENTLY plays a flight sim and you bring up a thread that was started in 2006 and the other was started in 2009. The newest post on both was in 2011. Please think before posting in my thread.

I currently play Flight Simulator X with a keyboard. Pretty hard to control; hoping to invest in a yoke, rudders, and throttle control sometime in the future.

Even just a new Logitech Extreme 3D pro will be like day and night over the keyboard, it is only cheap ($30 USD) and it has rudder twist and throttle controll. Might not be a yoke (airbusses don't even have yokes :P ) but it is still damned good.

I do beg your pardon...

Mate, those threads are still useable if they were to be revived. Making a new thread to cover a topic that is already covered in several other threads just clutters up the forums. I know it's 'cool' to have a new 'hot' thread in your name, but try to remember about forum aesthetics :)

EDIT: On topic however, I loooove Flight sims. Never get to play them since I've got a rubbish computer though :( Hopefully when (if) I get my new rig, I'll load up FSX and X-Plane and have some fun! Gonna get one of these joystick/pedals too:

I only got into planes from watching Mayday on YouTube. I thought it looked cool driving an airplane, so yoke/joystick probably won't matter too much to me.

I'm not trying to have a new 'hot' tread in my name, I'm just getting straight to the point.

Yeah man, I go up in DCS: A10 here and now, try Cliffs of Dover every once and a while before I can't put up with the lag anymore xD, but if I have no races on the weekend and actually find some piece and quite, there's nothing better to me than to get a good drink, put on a podcast, and fly custom mission packs in IL2.

Flight sims are the women of videogames.

And if you think about it you could have been to the point in any existing thread. Being lame against people who respond will only get you so far.
