Hey, just wandering if anyone else would like to see some of the old tracks again from older versions of the game.

I played GT2, 3 and 4 to death. On GT4 I completed the game then used arcade mode to do 25+lap races vs the AI and practice managing tyres, would add wieght and lower the bhp of the car so that it was a challenge to finish in 1st.

I miss tracks like apricot hill, midfield raceway, seattle, new york, Opera Paris, and does anyone else remember the Complex String track on GT3. Also that tight twisting street circuit Città d'Aria and Hong Kong were quite good.

Was wandering if anyone else liked these tracks, maybe they could be made available as DLC's in the future?

Everyone, man. I miss all the tracks in gt4. All the really stages too..

Yeah i hope for a dlc.

There are already tons of threads wishing to add more tracks and cars from older GT games if you ask...

I miss all the tracks from GT4, especially the Special Condition Events.

Yes. Do I think that they'll be made as DLC? maybe two or three but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Every single track from all the games. Even Complex String. ;)

Since these don't need to be remodeled into Premium quality two year projects, I'm hopeful that we'll get them as DLC within the year.

special stage r11 gt1 & gt3 version, i dream of drivingit in hd or maybe a combination of ss5, ss7 and ss11... and every other track from previous gt...

Indeed I do, I want Motegi, rally courses, the test track, plus everything else back in GT5.

yes... one i miss most is Apricot hill and to a lesser degree Midfield and Red Rock Raceway from gt2.... but then spa is coming soon 👍

I miss the track where you race around the castle, although I always used to get caught on those pesky banana skins......... oh ... no that was mario kart !

I bid you a good night !

Just Midfield.

I raped that track in past gt games!

Yeah, for sure I miss them. Here's my guess on the situation: Because Trial Mountain and other GT4 tracks made the cut, it's a hint that their original plan was to include all the other ones too. What I think happened was, while they were playing/testing the game, they must have found glitches or bugs and so they chose to patch those up instead.

Because the GT4 tracks needed "touching up" and re-tooling to be brought up to the PS3's standards, there was simply not enough time @ the end to upscale every old track. However, now that the game is released it's very possible that revered tracks like Midfield will finally be awoken from their 7 year hibernation.

Any thoughts on that? :)

Missing things that can't bring back...
Denial of reality...
Paranoid behaivour...
Anger...

Sympthoms of bad things.

Bit of a silly question. Of course we do.

+1000

I'm even missing stuff I used to hate like Test Course and Complex String

And even though it was really gimmicky, there's no reason NOT to have a Las Vegas drag strip, especially now we can play online...

I loved El Capitan, it was so much fun. Midfield was great too, as well as Apricot Hill. Oh yeah, I really really really miss Infineon. Why did they get rid of it?

Sorry, ignore this.:banghead:

what was the name of that track that was high speed with the banks? not test track (thought would be awesome to bring those back to do top speed runs, but i guess the oval tracks would be the same thing

Considering the amount of activity that sparks up with the mention of older tracks that aren't in the current version I would be very surprised if we don't see a "retro" map pack available (after a Spec2.X update) of course. I was hoping we would get the "retro" pack before any new circuits (SPA or Neo-Go Kart) but I guess Kaz is more interested in bringing new tracks at the moment. Better than nothing!

Yes.
BTW we've had dozens of threads like this one...
