Hi guys,

I find the most fun I have in GT6 is taking a 450pp~ car with comfort hards or mediums and racing it....but I find almost nobody likes this type of racing?

I find it is ULTRA FUN to have a purpose of getting to the finish line first, and you are pretty much forced to countersteer/slide because the car has too much power for the CH/CM tires.

I feel like I am bored of just drifting around a track.

The CH/CM tires makes the speed very slow....so you don't tire as much if you have concentration issues, and is just overall the most fun compared to lapping with SPORTS SOFTS which require a lot more concentration and isn't really relaxing...plus if you are driving at a competitive speed you will tire out much quicker because you are driving a faster car.

Basically, driver skills shine, toll on the body is lower, you get to play longer, and have more fun (IMHO) during the time you are playing

If you guys like this racing please add me :)

If you like increasing the fun by using CS~ tires while youare racing...do post in this thread and/or add me!

Sounds like touge to me, if you say touge race, it'll spark up more interest that drift race.
And I'm sure alot if people would enjoy it as something different.

Yeah but isn't touge just time attack with grippy tires on the mountain unless you are specifically drifting up/down the touge/mountain? In which case it will just be a drift room where there is no finish line....and people are not driving with speed in mind.

The leader used to put the car into the corner sideways to slow the 2nd car right down, therefore giving him a larger gap. Doesn't really matter what tires you run.

Not necessarily. Your thinking more along the lines of Initial D and not real touge.

I'm really not sure I know what you're talking about.

I'm talking about racing (touge, circuit, etc) with REALISTIC low grip tires so it does become like Initial D in a way. For example IMO the most realistic tires comfort softs~450pp. Faster cars like a 458 could work but obviously require much more skill and slightly grippier tires to accommodate a faster car....but most drivers online don't care for this type of racing/aren't skilled enough/don't have wheels.

If you care for this type of racing....add me up :)

I don't see why you are key on drifting then. even with comfort hard tires, a person taking advantage of the grip line will dust you while you're are sliding around.

To answer your post though, you'll probably want to seek out a "steelcity drifters" room. Those guys are confused and ambiguous about the border between drifting and racing. Might be what you are looking for.

oorrrrr, it's the fact that most drifters - especially here on GTP; strive for realism and exercise common sense when on the track. This "drift racing" doesn't apply any of the two. It's just recklessly sliding around trying to pass each other.

Either way, like @TH137Z mentioned, sounds like touge to me. Touge isn't just time attack, it's also about passing and holding a lead.

I suppose that could also be it;

I am sure in this vast community there are people who like increasing the fun by using CS~ tires while they are racing...if you do post in this thread and/or add me!

That is why it is fun....if you are a better driver you can take the grip line, also can fool around if you are way ahead, let the competition catch up; drift a couple corners, then keep racing at high intensity but without tiring as fast as with a grippier tire.
