I, along with 6 other people, are on our last year of "Videregående Skole", the norwegian counter-part of high-school, and since we're following the typical Norwegian tradition of russ-celebration (celebrating that we're done with school), we've bought a van (like everyone else in Norway) for celebrating our graduation in.

The van we've bought, is a Chevrolet Van G20, a 1976 to be more precise. As far as I know, it has the 4.8 (292ci) straight-six engine - and that's about it. Does anyone know anything more about this van/engine combo, i.e. gearbox, performance, engine power and torque, fuel consumption? I've tried searching and found nothing.

And if anyone wonders, no, the last one is not important, but it would be nice to know just in case the van we have is a little too thirsty.

An inline 6, 250 CID engine was available in the Cutlass, and other base GM / Cheverolet models from 1966 thru 1971. It was a replacement for the 225 CID (Buick?) V-6 available for 1965 and 1966. The 250 had a 3.88" bore and a 3.53" stroke and was rated at 155hp. These are the same specs for Chevrolet's 250 straight 6.....this is about all the info I know for the Chevy van....

Does it look like this
