I been using standard physics but now I thought I'd try professional out (no aids), so I got into Ford GT LM Test Car and time trial at Fuji Speedway F. Damn it's hard to not spin this car out.. Got ranked 33rd though

Anyway I don't agree with those who says it's too easy now after the update!

Well, you definitely picked the most difficult car to try PRO physics. ;) I uses SIXAXIS too BTW, no problem, not before the update and not after. :)

tbh with the update only being about 6 days old hardly anyone has started on the time trials, and hardly anyone does time trials on Fuji F, as most do it on the normal Fuji with the chicanes etc. i'll have a look later.

I used SIXAXIS up to about a month ago then I bought a G25.

I never had any problem being competitive with the AWD cars (R8, Subaru's etc) both in time trials or on line racing, but with RWD on S tyres I wasn't any where near as competitive.... you just can't control the throttle and steering inputs finely enough with the pad.

Pfft, sixaxis, pro physics, no tcs and a RWD car is my forté :sly:

It is undoubtedly easier after the update, but only on the R tyres. So Ive just started using S tyres 👍
There are some cars where it is very hard to drive competitively with a sixaxis and no tcs, but its not impossible to drive them and I reckon with some serious concentration and practice, I could probably handle the Blitz with no TCS on N tyres competitvely.
Its just a pity I dont have the patience.

There are some great drivers out there that use sixaxis. It can be done with lots of practice. I wouldn't start with the Ford GT LM - try the GT-R first.

I play it with a DS3 on Pro and it does take some getting used to but it's easy enough once you do. A G25 would be my next choice.

I wouldn't say I've mastered anything in GT compared to some of the times I see people getting, but I've always used a ds/sixaxis since GT1. I feel like I've always been competitive with it.

Isn't Fuji F the track most people do (the "default" track) rather than Fuji GT?

I like to think that I've pretty much mastered it completely, I have full throttle, brake and steering control and my lap times online are pretty competitive too, plus I like to beat the AI set to 100 and some 50+ laps, satisfaction when they';re beat :)

It's just the amount of practise you have, the more you race the better you get!

When I tried the game, I had an easier time with the SIXAXIS than with the G25. I didn't feel connected to the car with either one and countersteer was too sensitive with both inputs, but learning to tap the joystick just enough was easier than sawing at the wheel. Before my play time was over, I was drifting the NSX with ease around Suzuka with the controller.

I used to play with a DS since GT1 but now use a G25. I'm much quicker with it than with the DS. With GT5P I can control a low powered FF car just fine, but I'm all over the place with the high performance cars. Sure, you can practice until you think you have the same control as with a proper steering wheel, but why spend so much time practising? Life's already short as it is...

And a wheel offers much more fun, especially on Daytona :)

I use the SIXAXIS and I didn't really notice any difference since the update. The GTR is amazing to drive with the controller because you know that it will let you correct your mistakes. Even if you understeer or oversteer I find you can get back on the throttle as soon as you hit the track again. That might be my tuning setting though. And yeah, I am also quite bad with high performance cars. I lose it quite easily, and the back end goes out too much and I end up in a spin.

But I'm not using PRO physics but I may try it out one day. Of course it's much easier without pro physics on, but when you're racing online you have to watch out for those crappy rammers, they'll do anything to get you off the road. So is online hard with pro physics turned on?

You shouldn't let the idiots online dictate your enjoyment of the game.
Its just a matter of getting used to the physics really, I dont see why people approach pro physics like its some elite mode of the game that only 1 in 100 people can handle. Even before the update it wasn't that bad.
It all comes down to practice, the more time you spend in pro physics, the better you will get, its not completely down to skill.

In conclusion, online pro physics is only as hard as you make it - the more practice you put in the easier it will be.

Also, I doubt you will see much of difference in the update if you're comparing standard physics in it.

Only play with pro physics and a DS3.

Haven't played standard since I finished the class races.
It's easier after the update, but I liked the challenge of controlling the car before the update.

I've played pro using the Sixaxis since I first put the disk in my PS3 as I felt it would be easier to learn the ins-and-outs of the physics on lower spec cars (therefore making me better when it came to the high power cars).

I agree mate best to start at the bottom and work your way up, not the other way around.
Just like in real life you wouldn't put someone who hasn't driven in a Race/High performance car before learning the basics first.
Having said that IMO it's best to stick with Pro settings even if you are finding it difficult at the beginning as it will make you a better driver in the long run. 👍
