My question popped up yesterday when I was running the Nurburgring 4 hour Endurance. I was running a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP, and after an hour and a half, my rear end started sliding out, kind of like the cars pointed one way but the chassis' going somewhere else. Anyone else notice problems like these?

If you have had any substantial "impacts" during the race, you did more than likely "damage" the chassis. If you check in GTauto, you will find in chassis maint. more than likely you have a hefty bill for a repair..... I have read and heard that when there is substantial damage to a car, the tires will wear out quicker and the car becomes "very bouncy." I have experience that "bouncy" with my FGT when I bought it, $500,000 of chassis damage was on the to do list.... After driving the car and barely being able to see(using the bumper view) due to the bouncing tendancy, I repaired the chassis and the bouncing was gone. Cheers.

There's a few effects of a car in need of these repairs:

1. Car doesn't hold speed in corners
2. Top speed won't be achievable
3. Constant jerking left and right if you are on a wheel
4. Power drops(hence 1. and 2.).

I've noticed uneven tire wear in the endurance modes.

seems like the passenger-side rear wheel will wear the fastest, but after the rebuild the wear seems to even out side-to-side.

That's completely track and driver dependant. Obviously on a track with more left turns it will wear faster than a track with more rights.

I got a FGT from the online dealership with something like 4,000 miles on it. This thing would not go round a corner without spinning, I thought it was just how it handles and went about tuning it like that, I had to use ridiculous settings to fix the oversteer problem, anyway I did that repair chassis thing in GTAuto and now it works just fine, good enough for my b-spec driver to get golds in that FGT championship anyway.
