ok, lately my ps3 has been freezing, has had trouble loading, and has had all sorts of other problems on GT5.. it will take an hour just to enter the coarse, ive contacted sony..nothing has helped.. it's starting to make me dread even turning the thing on.. any ideas?

Duping isn't the fault, I can almost guarentee that.

Everyone is having trouble, go to options and delete your pre-install data, run from the disk, kaz says it will be fixed in the next update.

It can be one of 2 options:

1.- The Blu Ray lens is failing
2.- The MB is getting overheat

What about option 3? That it is a bug in the last update, that Kaz says will be fixed in the next?

I've had Internet and Network problems.

Seems to me that you should come out of the game and do the network connection test and it should be fine for the rest of your session.

I've in fact changed my network and it now works brilliantly now.

I assume you've tried clearing your system cache. I've heard that the game actually runs better if you don't pre-install, I would try deleting the data and running the game without

I didn't know there was a problem with the updates, but if could be, sorry it just than that 2 cases use to happen very often ( I'm a victim o the first one lol):)

can u tell me how to do this? is it just by deleting GT5 off the ps3. does it keep ur save data though?

Yes, just delete game data, not your savefile. everything will be kept and your GT5 will run a lot quicker.

Or you could do it from the in-game options menu and not lose all of your replays, pictures, thumbnails and tracks.

Good point.

The problem with getting rid of the game data is it apparently hurts your PS3 more from what I've seen. I've just kept mine installed, I'm not that bothered about loading times most of the time.

Everybody is full of ****.

1.10 GT5 needs to be restarted regularly. Don't do more than a couple events/lobbies without resetting your ps3. It's not as bad as you think...

My ps3 is completely legit with a 500gig hard drive. GT5 freezes on me almost every time I play it.

Be careful, if you delete that "install" you are putting much more strain on your bluray (laser) which means higher chances of bluray failure. Just try reinstalling it.

I have the last generation fat boy 80GB (smaller of two options at time) and I rarely have any of these problems. ;)
(knocks on wood)

I deleted the in-game install and it runs slower now

Yeah right. I guess you have an issue with your connection/PS3/GT5 installation.

I guess someone might be full of something.

It's for sure not from duplicating, mate. Hardcore trader here. :sly:👍

Since the last updates the game is bugged, hang ups, slow loadings & vanishing cursor and menues all over the place. Especially online is a problem. Plus your game will get slower & slower with the increasing of your gamesave file size. :ouch:

What you can try is delete the cache (ingame network options). No risk, you can loose nothing!

As last option you can reinstall GT5 from the XMB (note: you need to backup your gamesave, replays & pictures to your USB before if you don't want to loose it! And for all of your accounts on your PS3!). That can fix installation errors.

I suggest delete the cache & wait for the upcomming patch. They should be on it. :dopey:👍

No. GT5 has gotten considerably more unstable since 1.10. This is not news.

I can absolutely guarantee that it isn't the problem. I mean, how could it be? Suggesting that duping harms the hardware is like suggesting that viewing LOLcats will cause your monitor to explode.
