simple question, havent really found a definite answer for some reason, basically can the g27 degrees of rotation be adjusted in anyway or does it have to be 900 degrees all the time, im trying to decide between this and the fanatecs and the main difference is this, i wouldnt want 900 degrees if im driving an f1 car

Depends on the game (and platform - PC allows between 40 and 900 in any game through the Logitech profiler). If the game lets you change the steering lock, then you can have whatever you want. If it doesn't then you're stuck with the game's default, which would probably be 900.

so ur stuck with 900 degrees for all cars? theres way to adjust the steering sensitivity or dampening or sumthing to make it not turn as much? i really like the g27 especially the pedals, better than the dfgt and standard fanatecs but not as hardcore as the clubsports, but not being to change the degrees of rotation is a problem =[

No - it's locked to 900, but the adjustment is not needed. GT5's steering is most sensitive in the first 360 degrees of motion - 180deg either side of centre - and beyond that the sensitivity drops quite significantly. What this means is that although you have the full 900deg rotation (450 either way, 1.5 turns) available should you require it, you rarely need more than half a turn of lock (180deg) to make any corner in the game in any car*. For all intents and purposes I guess you can say that the game runs in 360 degree mode 99% of the time and switches to 900 during the 1% in which you dial on more than half a turn of lock.

*Suzuka's hairpin, for example, only needs half a turn at most - even in the X1 - and that's one of the slowest corners in the game.

tl;dr GT5 sets the G27 to 900 but it drives like it's in 360

I disagree with this^^^^
I tried the Formula cars on 900 with my fanatec....undriveable, adjust the wheel to 360.....Awesomeness:) bottom line...you need to be able to adjust this....the G27 is a great wheel but got kind of kicked to the curb it GT5....but what Fanatec did is genious... although GT5 does not support it, I can adjust all parameters independent from the game...and it works splendid. Most realistic FFb imo. Good Luck with your decision.
