Does it matter which wing you get?

Titles says it. Some cars have different wings you can choose from instead of one single wing.

My question is, is there any advantage to choosing one over another? My initial thoughts are the higher the wing is, the more downforce you can get because it's subjected to more wind force.

 Or have I just been sacrificing good looks on the car for nothing at all.

I don't care how much downforce it gets if it looks good on it, I'll install it, if not, I'll leave it without the wing.

I've often wondered this but never actually tested it. I imagine they're all the same, seems like an odd thing for PD to pay much attention to (given how many cars can have wings, and some have more than one), my guess is they're all generic in the downforce they provide and the fact that they're all adjustable, but that's just speculation. I'd prefer it if they actually did make a difference, though, because the Type 1 wing for the 300ZX shouldn't be adjustable nor as effective as the Type 2 by quite a long shot.

Hardly the most useful answer to the question, especially since the wing is a pretty big deal when tuning a car that doesn't have one as standard.

Do you want your car to look good or stupid? Or do you not care and just want performance? My modern box Japanese people movers now look stupid. My cars I like look good.

Ditto that!

I only really add wings to the premium cars if they have a nice matching body coloured wing. If not then I don't add any of those daft huge spoilers!

For me its visual appeal over performance

It doesn't matter.

Congrats on being the only one to actually answer the question. 👍

Villain is correct, all of the wing options for each car are the same from a functional standpoint.

However, different cars occasionally get more or less downforce than others.
