I am trying to fix my Gamesave, and I have Identified the problem.
PARAM.SFO is the "piece" that holds the PSN ID that defines who can use it.
All I need to figure out is how to edit it.

If someone, anyone knows, PLZ post something useful:drool:

Or realistically the scenario is: You are trying to dupe cars quicker and trying to figure out a way to change the PSN ID on the game-save so you can duplicate your whole account.

I had the same problem, my old save linked to my old PSN when I wanted it to link to my new one. But I simply started over :)

The Great Big Issue
Is that I have a mac, not a pc
meaning that anything with .exe wont work.
Most .SFO editors require pc hardware.

I would imagine your going to need some kind of software to do it as I would think PD would have some kind of security to stop them being edited.
I don't think it will work as easy as most PC sim games were you can open the file in note pad etc and edit the files information.

But you never know have you tried to open up the file in note pad or any similar application ?.

No,
I am trying to recover my origional save,
but that is a good idea

You know you agreed to not perform alterations to the software when you installed the game?

The issue is that if I start over and start one of those Cliche "I lost my data" threads, most certianly no one will listen, or simply call it "not legit"

There is a option to repair corrupt save data within the game itself, did you try that?

See, My backup data supposedly has a different PSN ID assigned to it, despite it being fromMY Console and PSN.
Thats the only thing wrong with it

Call Sony....

Sony doesnt care about anything but keeping people who skew gaming experience out of their consumers' hair.
In short, the only reason sony does updates is to satisfy customer complaints.
They wont do a 🤬 thing
