Does the B-spec drivers "skill" actually go up?

had a look though search and all that but couldnt find anything, if anyone knows of a thread with this in it let me know by all means,


as ur b-spec driver goes through races more and more, does his skill actually go up? as in does it start to drive properly and not drive into the sand or into walls the seconds his tyres turn yellow. because as far as mine is conserned i may as well start the race in a-spec mode and put a brick on the controler.

also, was doing the High speed ring endurance race with the minolta and put it in b-spec mode after i pitted the first time. a few laps after he started whenever he went around the smaller of the 2 turns, he decides to turn right instead of left the whole way around the corner.... has this happened to anyone else?

not happened to me yet... yes your driver's skill go up... i have mine at about 7500+ (80, 79, 78) b-spec points... rarely goes off track or bumps into walls.. :crazy:

Yeah, he'll actually become better at controlling the car on used tyres, but if you ask him to push to level 5, he will throw it at the scenery :irked:
 
The trick to making him get good faster is to put him in races where he wont kill the competition but actually have to work for the win and his skills will go up faster than if u give him a car that would give you 1 A-spec point.
 
Be prepared to sacrifice your 100% win ratio tho. :grumpy:
 
I gave up on that awhile ago. U cant win all of the GT world chapionship races with an untuned CLK GTR.
 
True. I just like mine to stay above 90% 👍
 
I actually saw him improve. His first race was the Mazda RX8 series. I put him in the Mazda RX8 Concept type 2 and kept entering him until he began to win. Initially he was trounced.... but over the next hour he began to finish further up the field until he began winning. I was then able to make him run at level 4 for all of the races and he kept it on the black stuff a lot more. But like has been said.... making him push hard is just gonna kill the tyres and mow the lawns.
