Or is that software already installed upon arrival? I ask because I just got my Maxdrive in the mail today and my PS2 is about to be a relic replaced by the bigger newer version. I ordered the flash drive before I knew we were goingto be getting a PS3 if anyone is wondering about the timing here. I know theree are different cheats and game saves with this company but I don't know if they warrant my holding on to thisunit or just turning around and reselling it.

Thanks in advance

Well it finally came on the 18th and yes it is compatible. I really wanted to know just because I had received that Maxdrive in the mail that I had ordered before I knew I was getting the PS3. Its also nice to see that there is a slot for CFcards too. I have a few of those for my digital cameras so thats a big plus. It also takes SD and SDmini cards and the memory stick that the PSP uses as well. For anyone else who wants to know.

The Maxdrive software is on one of those puny half discs so I have a feeling that if I want to access any of the cheats I'll have to hook the PS2 back up to do so:indiff: Oh well I just wanted it for using the MAxdrive with my PS2. At that the time I ordered it I still thought that I had about a year to wait before buying a PS3. Then my wife tells me thats what she wanted to get me for our anniversary when her taxes came back. The PS3 is a win/win for both of us because the multimedia capabilities allows me to do all the other thinsg I like as well. I am a photographer and it looks like the PS3 may make a better photo editor than my computer...maybe, I'm just beginning to explore the abilities of this thing. The fact that it can be used as a DVD player and for storing music is the bonus from...well you know. I like to use my PC to jam out with my guitar because I can access just about any song that pops ito my head from the 70s on up via You Tube. If it works out that the internet can be accessed just as easy though this thing then maybe the wife can use the computer while I'm jammin out on the PS3. I have some damn good speakers for the TV...better than any I can run through the PC so maybe I'll be able to turn the amp up more:sly:
