Does this bother anyone else? (Crimes against cars)

After browsing some photo threads I have come to the conclusion that some people are downright insane. Why on earth would you EVER put a carbon fiber hood on a Lambo or Ferrari? And chrome paint? Doesn't look good on any car.
Does anyone agree, disagree or have any other car crimes to share?
 
It takes alsorts to turn the worlds wheels mate , spots on dog's don't look to good to me but hey people still breed them ! You just learn to turn a blind eye !
 
I think carbon fiber hoods look absolutely horrible on luxury and exotic cars. Even some sports cars look pretty bad with it. But, that's just me. I really care what my cars look like in game, so I try to make them look as good as possible. I almost always have to lower my car to a perfect height, looks wise.
 
I've got a black 458 and a black gallardo, both, in my opinion look really nice with carbon hoods, especially when combined with carbon spoiler and aero parts.

I've managed to get an F40 to look quite special with a splash of chrome and some black 5 spoke rims,

Yeah, it may not be like the original but it's unique and that's what i wanted it to be.

I've actually seen a Chrome Gallardo in Real Life and it was certainly an eye catcher.
 
Eye catching maybe,but so was the candy pink diablo i saw yesterday! But i think itwore the diabolical colour fairly well... I think any lamborghini that ISNT lurid is a crime in itself, but thats judt me...
 
You do realize that none of these are real cars, right? They're just digital approximations.

I do some insane things to the cars in this game, just because I would *NEVER* do such things in real life. In real life, I won't even allow a bumper sticker on my car, much less spoilers and wings. In real life, I try to keep all my mods out of view. Hell, I even welded the stock heatshield onto my aftermarket exhaust header, just so it would still look stock!

I put a naked carbon hood on a Ferrari 458 Italia - than slapped a big-ass wing on the back. I painted a Citroen GT matte pink, just to make it look like the pig it really is. I chromed a Zonda just to see what the interior would look like (chrome, go figure).

Who cares? What car did I actually hurt? Whose bank account was damaged? Since I've never been online with any of them, whose itty bitty feewings were hurt by them?

Some of you guys need to lighten up a bit. Go out, get drunk, get laid, get a life. You spend far too much time worrying what others are doing with their game. It's not real; it really IS just a game.
 
Chrome is pretty stark I agree. I also agree that lambos should be black or something radical.

If you get one in a boring colour it's not a true lambo

Stick a horn on it with the carbon bonet makes it sound better too.. beep beep !! It is a shame you can't put racing stripes on the car too it could make them go faster lol.

Different strokes for different folks. One mans trash is another mans treasure. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I have more sayings that are fitting but i'm sure you get my message. I don't like any chrome painted car what so ever. I do however like some carbon hoods (if the car has racing livery also). :)
One example would be the Suzuki Cap RM, which i know quite a few don't like.
 
I do usually like to see what the carbon bonnet looks like first how ever on some cars it does just look gash! That's why a preview would be nice, for the colour too!!
 
To each his own I say. It's just a game. Things I do to cars in the game, I would never do in real life. Thats part of the fun. When I do weight reduction I mostly choose the painted hood, but some cars do look pretty cool with the black one.
 
Carbon hoods only look good with other carbon parts, and black rims. Or if the whole car is black. Mix and match....
 
I put a painted carbon hood on my 430 Scud. I am a sinner/badass/rebel or what?

Really man, it's just a game. There are other things to get butthurt about.
 
You guys should see my Fiat 500. I made it pink, gave it a spoiler and a carbon fiber hood. I bet the ricers would be proud.
 
You should see some of the van conversions in Japan. Or some of the high end cars in Dubai. Money doesn't always buy taste.
 
To all the people with hideous cars trying to defend them (Especailly the NFS:U Refugees that play online and think absolutely nothing can touch their Skyline Vspec in Drifdoridu contest!) seriously, learn to live with teh fact you have bade taste. Noone's gonna make fun of you too much if you learn to laugh with the people that point and laugh.

Black? Black! Do you realize black is the most boring color of all because it is the LACK of color? Lets no forget that next to "fleet vehicle" white, black actually is the most popular color in the US, if not the world.

As for "chrome" cars. (Don't play it if your easily butthurt about the N word)


Chrome belongs on wheels and bumpers, not as your cars protective layer on the bare sheetmetal. Now I have seen a few cars where they just ran with clearcoat on bare sheetmetal that had been sandblasted or grinded on. and that looked damn nice in a rip your leg off and beat you with it way.

In all if you like your cars setup and someone doesn't. Nuts to em. Though be prepared to have people ask you why your car looks like something made by a kindergarten student with a fist-full of clay.
 
I hate the carbon hood on every car (it would look alright if the colour faded away but it just goes from black to whatever colour your car is) but I dont think the chrome paint looks to bad.
 
it's the same in gt5 as it is in real life...people do to their cars what they like. I don't knock customization someone has done to their cars in real life, because that's just what it is: Customization! The driver making their ride unique to their style! Same with gt5 in my opinion.

Everyone has different tastes. I like black, especially on cars. Does it make me boring. No. I've got a fairly crazy taste in clothing at times and even have a pair of dc's with the GYMKHANA fiesta livery on them. If you google that car you could probably Change your mind about black and White being boring. Black looks mean. And on a powerful v8 like an sl63 it has it's place
 
There is nothing wrong with a little contrast.

If you are a purist, then I guess a Ferrari should only be red... but there isn't much fun in that is there? It's your virtual car, do as you please. Would I rock electric orange rims on an SLS if I had one in real life, not a chance. In game though. Meh. Looks pretty sexy with a carbon hood and matte black paint.
 
most of my cars are red, with black rims. actually every car i buy that i like and use to drive is red with black rims. my racing suit in GT5 is red. i paint my cars red, Rosso Scuderia to be exact. With Black Mica rims. some look nice with the carbon hood other horrible. My Lamborghinis are orange, the Gallardo is black. Some car look amazing in black, or white. Like my M5 is white and i love how the Murcielago Super Velocce looks in white. to each their own. My RM Corvette ZR1 is painted "TVR Chameleon Spice". At first i did it as a test paint out of curiousity and i was honestly blown away that i keept it that color.
 
I recently put a carbon fibre hood on my masarati and it look unbelievably mean with a dark red ferrari paint job with black wheels and grill to match the hood.
 
The only real crime in this game is the wing options for most cars. The '05 STI has the worst one I've ever seen.

some cars they give the sickest(good) wings, like the one on the Audi R8 LMS. makes the cars look like a real proper GT racing sportscar... then they turn around and butcher cars like the Premium newer Elise, when you dont RM it. The front bumper/grill for that is horrible!!!
