is it physically possible to sup up various street cars (via turbos and the likes) to 1000hp and get them to go at 250mph???

thats more than a freaken F1 / NASCAR Stock car!!!!

so far ive dont it with the dodge viper GTS, and nissan 300zx on the max speed testing track (the viper could have gone above 250mph, but it ran out of track )

yeah, it's quite possible ....the McLaren F1 can do 240 mph with around 630 hp .....the gearing plays a large factor as well

Making a 1000hp engine isn't really breaking the laws of physics. It is more on the yield strength of the engine and its efficency. There are a lot of supras that are dyno queens that make 800hp easily on standard fuel. In real life it all depends on how much money you have, and you can make any car fast. Now just having a car standing still and having it spin circles is not abiding the laws of physics... which i have seen in GT3.

Also, as a side note... your top speed is dependent on your frontal area, wheel hp and coeficient of drag (there are other variables but they are so small and insignificant). If you can make enough HP or lower your CD, you can make any car go 250mph, even a mini.
